Description
Clocking in at nearly 24 minutes, this 5-track CD EP celebrates fans ’favourite track ‘Birmingham ’- from the all new Wolfgang Flür album ‘Magazine 1 ’- with a selection of deft and inventive electro-pop remixes exclusive to this strictly limited edition release.
‘Birmingham ’uniquely combines the talents of ex-Kraftwerk percussionist Wolfgang Flür with two other legends from the world of electronic pop; singer Claudia Brücken (ex-Propaganda) and Peter Hook (ex-New Order) whose signature bass stylings are brought to the fore in the Man Ray Mix that he personally oversaw the mixing of with his engineer Phil Murphy.
Further remixes come courtesy of re-engaging the three remixers who made the most impact on Wolfgang during the judging of an Electronic Sounds Magazine remix competition a few years ago for tracks from his former album ‘Eloquence’. Of them, Wolfgang states, “Their talent stayed with me and I was curious for more. The results of their remixes of ‘Birmingham ’exceeded my expectations and I am so happy to share them now for the first time on this very special release”.
The release is rounded off by the inclusion of the Radio Edit, a slightly tweaked, re EQ'd and edited version of the original album track that is successfully being serviced to radio stations.
