• “Sowin’ Love” spent 62 weeks on the Billboard Country Album Charts and “Heroes” for 59 weeks. The combination of these two albums features eight Top 10 singles.
• Even though Paul has had a successful recording career, it is his songwriting that has brought him the greatest success. He has written 27 Top 10 singles with Grammy awards given for ‘Forever And Ever Amen’ (Randy Travis) and ‘Love Can Build A Bridge’ (The Judds). Other notable songs are ‘When You Say Nothing At All’, major hits for Keith Whitley, Alison Krauss and Ronan Keating and ‘On The Other Hand’ recorded by Randy Travis. His breakthrough composition ‘Same Ole Me’ was a big hit for George Jones in 1982.
• BMI honoured him as Songwriter of the Year for five consecutive years from 1987-1991, an achievement that has not been reached before or since.
• No-one writes songs about love and family better than Paul Overstreet.
• Paul was inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2003.
