Their most prolific signing was Brett Marvin &The Thunderbolts, who enjoyed a huge hit with ‘Sea Side Shuffle’, under the guise of Terry Dactyl & The Dinosaurs (and licensed out to UK Records). Confused?! Well, the band’s blend of gutbucket blues and pub rock led to five albums, including a solo venture from future star Jona Lewie. Other notable acts signed by Buckle included singer-songwriter Mick Audsley, late 60s blues band Blue Blood, American Svengali Kim Fowley (a compilation of rarities), British R&B favourites The Inmates and 80s heavy metal act Glasgow.

- Sonet (UK)The British arm of Scandinavian company Sonet Records was created by Rod Buckle at the dawn of the 1970s. Their most prolific signing was Brett Marvin &The Thunderbolts, who enjoyed a huge hit with ‘Sea Side Shuffle’, under the guise of Terry Dactyl & The Dinosaurs (and licensed out to UK Records). Confused?! Well, the band’s blend of gutbucket blues and pub rock led to five albums, including a solo venture from future star Jona Lewie. Other notable acts signed by Buckle included singer-songwriter Mick Audsley, late 60s blues band Blue Blood, American Svengali Kim Fowley (a compilation of rarities), British R&B favourites The Inmates and 80s heavy metal act Glasgow.

ESOTERIC RECORDINGS continue the series of JACK BRUCE re-mastered editionswith a new release of LIVE 75 , a recording made on the legendary JACK BRUCE BAND tour of that year. With a band featuring former Rolling Stone MICK TAYLOR on guitar, Jazz icon CARLA BLEY on keyboards, RONNIE LEAHY on Piano and Organ and BRUCE GARY on drums, this release captures the band at the peak of their powers at a concert in Manchester’s Free Trade Hall on June 1st 1975.
Featuring dramatically extended versions of classic Jack Bruce compositions such as Morning Story , Keep it Down , Smiles and Grins and two lengthy medleys of Tickets to Waterfalls / Weird of Hermiston / Post War and One / You Burned the Tables on Me , the live set also featured Tony Williams composition Spirit and the Cream classic Sunshine of Your Love .
Live 75 captures the essence and magic of a short lived line-up of the JACK BRUCE BAND in this double CD set.
