Released on 29/08/11. The late Keith Whitley was probably the finest
honky-tonk singer of country musics modern era and none have come close
to matching the pathos, soul and emotion that wasWhitley s very own. In
his lifetime Keith Whitley never received the media hype of say Randy
Travis, George Strait or Garth Brooks, but quietly he had made his mark
as one of the New Country Movement s greatest talents. He charted
nineteen singles on the Billboard country charts, including five
consecutive Number Ones: Don’t Close Your Eyes, When You Say Nothing at
All, I’m No Stranger to the Rain, I Wonder Do You Think of Me and It
Ain’t Nothin. L.A. to Miami, released in 1986, would give him his first
Top 20 country hit single, Miami, My Amy. The songwas followed by three
more hit songs Ten Feet Away, Homecoming ’63, and Hard Livin.
