Now, for the first time ever, “Falling Forward”, Julia Fordham’s fourth album, has been digitally remastered and expanded.
The deluxe edition of “Falling Forward” follows the success of “Julia Fordham”, “Porcelain” and “Swept”, Julia’s first three albums, all of which are available as deluxe editions from Cherry Pop.
Originally released in 1994, “Falling Forward” (UK #21) was helmed by legendary, Grammy award winning producer Larry Klein. Larry is most notable for producing timeless albums by Joni Mitchell, Shawn Colvin, and Madeleine Peyroux among many others.
“Falling Forward” is an artistic tour de force that features an astonishing array of guest musicians including singers Brenda Russell (‘Piano In The Dark’) and Vonda Shepard (‘Searchin’ My Soul’), guitarists Dominic Miller (Sting, Phil Collins, Level 42), Steuart Smith (Eagles), and Michael Landau (Chicago, Donna Summer, Rod Stewart, Celine Dion, Michael Bublé), trumpeter and film score veteran Mark Isham, jazz pianist Russell Ferrante (Joni Mitchell, Deniece Williams, Jennifer Warnes, Everything But The Girl), songwriters Simon Climie (Climie Fisher, Aretha Franklin, George Michael, Eric Clapton) and Gary Clark (Danny Wilson, David McAlmont, Alison Moyet, Natalie Imbruglia, Melanie C), as well as Julia’s regular musical collaborator Grant Mitchell.
A total of three singles were lifted from the album: ‘Different Time, Different Place’ (UK #41) (co- written by Simon Climie), ‘I Can’t Help Myself’ (UK #62), and ‘Hope, Prayer & Time’ (UK #97) (written by Gary Clark).
This 2CD deluxe edition features 27 tracks including the original 11-song album alongside 16 bonus tracks.
The bonus material on this collection features all of the single versions, b-sides, remixes, and alternate versions that were released during the promotion of the original album.
The 20-page full colour CD booklet contains photos, illustrated discography, lyrics, comprehensive credits, brand new liner notes, foreword and track annotations by Julia, plus written contributions from producer Larry Klein, as well as songwriters Simon Climie and Gary Clark.
In 2017, Julia will continue to tour the US, UK, Europe, Japan and Southeast Asia.
