Esoteric Recordings are pleased to announce the release of a newly remastered expanded edition of the sole album by THE SALLYANGIE, the duo featuring MIKE and SALLY OLDFIELD. Released by Nat Joseph’s Transatlantic label in 1969, the album was the first vinyl outing for both musicians. Although embryonic folk influenced music, the album has an innocent charm which has endeared it to many collectors of late 1960s folk–rock and of the solo work of both MIKE OLDFIELD and SALLY OLDFIELD.

This Esoteric Recordings reissue has been remastered from the original master tapes and is expanded over two CDs to include EIGHT BONUS TRACKS, featuring the guitar improvisations ‘Mrs. Moon and the Thatched Soup’, ‘Branches’ and ‘A Sad Song for Rosie’, along with both sides of the 1969 single ‘Colour of the World’ b/w ‘Two Ships’ and the rare tracks (previously unreleased on CD) ‘Child of Allah’ and ‘Lady Go Lightly’, recorded in 1969 and released as a single by Philips Records in 1973.
