  • Born 8th June 1941 in Larue, Arkansas.  Raised in Wichita, Kansas.

  • A traditional Country singer who was enormously popular in Europe in the
1970s but was unbelievably deemed too “Country” to get radio play in the USA.

  • This CD features two original albums from 1975 and 1976 plus 9 bonus
    tracks.

  • Contains all of Vernon’s Country Billboard hits.

  • Vernon was originally signed to RCA Records in 1965 but by the end of
the decade he had been dropped by the label.
A few years later thousands of Country Music fans in the UK and Sweden
had fallen in love with Vernon’s music and signed a petition which was sent to
RCA Records in Nashville begging them to re-sign Vernon.

  • Due to his successes touring the UK which included appearances at the
Wembley Festival, he was signed again to RCA Records in 1974.

  • Total playing time 77 minutes.
