“Bartender’s Blues” (1978) and “Shine On” (1983) are two more albums
from the fertile back catalogue of country music’s greatest singer.
Singer/Songwriter James Taylor accompanies George on the track
‘Bartender’s Blues’; this was released as a single and reached No. 6 on the
country chart. The other single taken
from the album was ‘I’ll Just Take It Out In Love’ which reached No. 11.
The “Shine On” album peaked at No. 7 on the country album chart but
produced three smash hit singles, ‘Shine On’ (No. 3), ‘I Always Get Lucky With
You’ (No. 1) and ‘Tennessee Whiskey’ (No. 2).
