All three albums, plus Zior’s 2018 reunion album ‘Spirit Of The Gods’, are now collected for the first time on Before My Eyes Go Blind, a 4-CD set that’s presented in a clamshell box with replica album sleeve wallets, a lengthy new essay on the band and a number of evocative, previously unpublished photos.
• Yuka & Chronoship was formed in 2009 by Yuka Funakoshi (a rare female prog rock artist in the world) and three experienced session musicians (Shun Taguchi, Takashi Miyazawa, and Ikko Tanaka).
• The first seven songs are a suite based on the Greek mythology "ARGO". The opening song ‘Tears Of The Figurehead’ is sung by special guest singer Sonja Kristina of Curved Air.
Between 1968 and 1974, amateur songwriters, musicians and home taping enthusiasts Peter Howell and John Ferdinando – aka H & F Recordings – retreated to their makeshift home studio in East Sussex to mastermind a series of privately-issued albums that were attributed to semi-fictitious groups such as Ithaca and Agincourt.
A Game For All Who Know: The H & F Recordings Box gathers together all four albums and adds an unreleased-at-the-time fifth, the Friends LP Fragile, which was abandoned at acetate stage after Howell accepted an invitation in 1974 to join the BBC Radiophonic Workshop on a full-time basis.
Taken from the original master tapes, and with a lavish booklet that features a new 7000-word essay on their activities, fresh interview quotes and previously unpublished photos, A Game For All Who Know constitutes the final, definitive word on a fascinating and hugely collectable body of work.
Esoteric Recordings are pleased to announce the release of a re-mastered and expanded edition of “Me & My Friend”, the first solo album by the founder of the UK band Nirvana, Patrick Campbell Lyons.
The booklet features an essay by Malcolm Dome including an exclusive interview with Patrick Campbell Lyons.
Esoteric Recordings are pleased to announce the first ever UK individual CD release of a newly re-mastered edition of the 1971 album by legendary musicians John McLaughlin, John Surman, Karl Berger, Stu Martin & Dave Holland.
Esoteric Recordings are pleased to announce the release of a newly re-mastered edition of the 1969 recordings by Bodast, the short-lived band formed in late 1968 featuring STEVE HOWE (Lead Guitar, Acoustic Guitar, Bass), DAVE CURTIS (Bass, Vocals), BOBBY CLARKE (Drums) & CLIVE SKINNER (Vocals, Acoustic Guitar).
