Mortimer, the harmony soft rock trio from New York State, were signed with Apple Records in 1968 on the strength of George Harrison’s say so. The second LP of their career was due for release in the summer of 1969 but was pulled at the last minute due to changes at Apple. The tapes have sat in the vaults ever since. Now RPM is pleased to present for the first time the LP that should have been the release straight after The Iveys LP in the Apple Records catalogue.

• SCARED TO GET HAPPY (A Story Of Indie Pop 1980-1989) was the first box set ever to document the explosion of Indie Pop in Britain across the 1980s. This Record Store Day release is a gatefold double vinyl of Cherry Red’s seminal 2013 box set, charting Indie Pop’s development from the post punk era and the dominance of Scottish bands through to its genre-defining C86 period and onto the end of the decade, with the arrival of Madchester and the shoegazing sound.
Esoteric Recordings began a series of releases drawn from TODD RUNDGREN’s extensive archive of recordings with the first stand-alone CD release of the DISCO JETS project, recorded in 1976 by TODD and his group UTOPIA, featuring JOHN SIEGLER (Bass, Vocals), ROGER POWELL (Keyboards, Vocals) and WILLIE WILCOX (Drums).
