Originally opened at The New York Shakespeare Festival Public Theater in 1978, Im Getting My Act Together And Taking It On The Road was such a hit that it transferred to the Circle In The Square Theater in Greenwich Village and ran for 1,165 performances. The show attracted such stars as Betty Buckley, Carol Hall, Virginia Vestoff and Phyllis Newman playing the lead role during this run.This first womens liberation hit musical opened in the West End of London March 31st 1981 starring West End star Diane Langton and film star Ben Cross (Chariots Of Fire).
