Based on George Bernard Shaw’s play “Pygmalion”, Frederick Loewe and Alan Jay Lerner’s musical tells the charming story of the love between the insensitive Professor Higgins and the flower-seller Eliza Doolittle. Both in the theatre and on the screen this show has proved itself to be one of the most perfect musicals of all times. Only recently it’s popularity was reaffirmed by the long running West End transfer of the National Theatre’s production which starred Martine McCutcheon (East Enders).
