Marc Almond: That Dress, 7'' Single UNSIGNED

• Next release in the celebrated and ongoing series of limited edition exclusive 7” singles from ’The Marc Almond Singles Club’.

• Featuring both the Starcluster Remix of ‘THAT DRESS’ and the original demo, both written by Marc and Starcluster’s Roland Faber.

• Created at the request of fashion designer Roland Mouret, who featured the track as a soundtrack to a particularly stunning catwalk sequence at one of his landmark fashion shows.

• As with all the releases in this series, the artwork is a collage specially created by Marc Almond himself!

‘THAT DRESS’ is Marc Almond’s play on the tabloid phrase, often used somewhat damningly, that implies that a celebrity’s dress has itself become more famous than its wearer! Or, perhaps, the ‘star' wearing it is deliberately revealing just a little too much so as to grab just a little more press attention!

Marc’s song is a vampish electro-pop styled eulogy to the transformative power of such an exclusive couture dress and the seemingly all-consuming aspiration to buy and wear one!

Roland Mouret’s own ‘THAT DRESS’ is his most famous design, the iconic ‘Galaxy Dress’, the era-defining ‘it’ dress of the 2000s as worn by A-list celebrities too numerous to mention!
