Description
Released by Incognito in their 25th anniversary year, Adventures in Black Sunshine is one of the strongest albums they've ever recorded. Led by Jean-Paul "Bluey" Maunick, the highlight of the 14-track album is the return as vocalist of the fans' favourite Maysa Leak on seven cuts, including the single "Listen to the Music", a stunning remake of the Doobie Brothers hit, and the Brazilian-flavoured "Everything Your Heart Desires".
Key band members include Matt Cooper, Dominic Glover (JTQ, Katie Melua), Nichol Thomson (Jamie Cullum), Graham Harvey (George Benson, Maysa Leak) and former Sade backing vocalist Tony Momrelle. There also is a special cameo keyboard performance from the legendary George Duke. Another feature of the new album is the inclusion of several outstanding instrumentals, evoking the jazz-funk era when Incognito started--tracks include "The World Is Mine", "The Principles of Love" and "Beyond the Clouds".
