Aretha signed with Arista in 1980 where Clive Davis restored her hit making status with United Together and Love All The Hurt Away reaching the top 10 of the Hot Soul Singles chart as well as her #1 R&B hit Jump To It from the album of the same name.
GET IT RIGHT was Aretha’s fourth Arista album and her second to be produced by Luther Vandross it reached the #4 spot in the R&B album chart as well as the #36 spot on the Pop chart. The hit title track gave Aretha yet another R&B #1 hit.
EVERY GIRL (WANTS MY GUY), the follow up single, becoming a further R&B top ten hit peaking at #7.
