Description
Formed in Stourbridge in West Midlands in November 1987 Ned's
Atomic Dustbin took their name from an episode of The Goon Show. The band are
unusual for using two bass players in their line-up: Alex Griffin plays melody
lines high up on one bass, and Mat Cheslin plays the regular bass lines on the
other. This gives the band a tense and highly driven sub-hardcore sound
featuring distorted effects-laden guitar and energetic drums.
This anthology consisting of tunes from across their career
also features their seminal chart-topping long-form video ‘Nothing is
Cool’ on DVD (as a bonus disk) for the first time - something fans of the band with worn out
VHS copies have been requesting for some time.
The set features sleeve notes by the band's Matt Cheslin, who
gives us a unique insight into the band and their career from his own
perspective. All artwork incorporated in the set was designed by the
band's inimitable long-term sleeve artist Helga.
