Released 21/07/08. Virtuoso guitarist Sabicas exported flamenco in its most thrilling and uncompromising form. What the public heard and responded to was his astonishing artistry – the rhythmic drive, the dizzying speed of his runs, the sheer ferocity of his attack coupled with the sensitivity and poise of his touch. Sabicas's dedication and perfectionism established the yardstick against which both his contemporaries and the next generation of guitarists were obliged to measure themselves.
