We have just sent out the next instalment of our Cherry Red business bulletin.
This was actually the title of our first ever compilation which was released back in 1979. That album was a collection of 14 singles from 14 different independent labels, the first release of its kind. It sold well and we even licensed it in a couple of overseas territories.
Business Unusual is an industry newsletter that explores different facets of the Cherry Red group – including our latest catalogue acquisitions and licenses, national press & radio highlights, our music used in film and television, CRTV interviews, our radio shows, music videos, chart positions and our ever present interest in football, and even some famous faces who came to lunch! This issue has news on Joe Meek’s Tea Chest Tapes, Sheena Easton, Marc Almond, Runrig, Hawkwind, Lee Kerslake and much more.
There’s plenty here of interest and we’ll always try to include some unexpected facets of Cherry Red, check out the Cherry Red Trail for example!
