March is another busy month of releases, spanning classic catalogue, expanded editions and new music. Highlights include major box sets from Level 42, The Lovin’ Spoonful, Clearlight and Leon Russell, alongside expanded reissues from Kim Wilde and The Fall, plus classic albums from Hawkwind, Blodwyn Pig and Mick Abrahams. The schedule also features new releases from Lou Gramm and The Long Ryders, archive collections from Suffocation and Johnny Cougar, and a range of themed compilations covering everything from 1960s TV and film music to the UK folk scene and beyond.

Various Artists: Bring The Kouchie Come, 2CD

Effectively demonstrated on this 2CD set, which brings together 46 of the best-known recordings championing ganja from the 70s and early 80s, with the first disc comprising vocal cuts from such Jamaican musical giants as Lee ‘Scratch’ Perry, Horace Andy, Linval Thompson, Dillinger and Johnny Clarke.

26 track, 3-disc set from death metal innovators Suffocation featuring their first three full length studio albums released on Roadrunner Records in the 1990s.

Lou Gramm: Released, CD

Ten original songs from Lou written with former Black Sheep member Bruce Turgon, the album features appearances from Tony Franklin on bass for the track 'Long Gone' and Vivian Campbell on guitar for opening track, 'Young Love', alongside long-term musical associates, such as Lou’s brother Ben on drums.

Boasts classic staples from legendary composers John Barry (James Bond), Laurie Johnson (The Avengers) and Sir John Dankworth (Accident), sundry ITC favourites (The Champions, Man In A Suitcase, The Saint) and the superb sounds of Supermarionation from Barry Gray & His Orchestra (Thunderbirds, Joe 90, Captain Scarlet, etc.).

Mick Abrahams: Seasons - The Recordings 1971-1972, Remastered 2CD Edition

In 1972 The Mick Abrahams Band released the album 'At Last' and were joined by former Blodwyn Pig saxophone and woodwind player Jack Lancaster. Although a fine album, the band broke up soon after its release. This collection gathers together both albums and includes a booklet with new essay.

Hawkwind: Warrior On The Edge Of Time, Half Speed Mastered Vinyl Edition

Half speed vinyl edition of the classic album, 'Warrior On The Edge Of Time' by HAWKWIND. Recorded in 1975, the album is a ground-breaking classic from Hawkwind’s long career.

Featuring a line-up of DAVE BROCK, NIK TURNER, LEMMY, SIMON HOUSE, SIMON KING and ALAN POWELL, the album is arguably one of the finest rock albums of the mid-1970s. Blodwyn Pig: The Recordings 1969-1974, 3CD Clamshell Box Set

Blodwyn Pig was formed following guitarist and vocalist Mick Abrahams’ departure from Jethro Tull following the release of their debut album in 1968. This collection gathers together all the albums and singles recorded by Blodwyn Pig for Chrysalis Records in 1969 and 1970, along with the all the surviving sessions in the BBC archives recorded by the band between 1969 and 1974.

Cronos: Dancing In The Fire, CD

Official re-issue of this solo effort from Venom bassist and vocalist Conrad Lant AKA Cronos. Originally released in 1990 on Neat (home to Venom, Raven, Tygers Of Pan Tang, Fist and White Spirit). 'Dancing In The Fire’ came at a point where Venom had split up.

Produced by studio whiz Ed Stasium who is best known for his long relationship as producer and engineer for The Ramones. Ed has also produced three previous Long Ryders’ records plus enjoyed successful recordings with the Smithereens, Soul Asylum, Motörhead, Marshall Crenshaw, Living Colour, the Hoodoo Gurus and Julian Cope.

Long Ryder guitarist/mandolinist Sid Griffin states 'High Noon Hymns' is “two thirds the distilled altcountry genre we helped found back in the 1980s, one third Paisley Underground adventurism yet with a dash of our own crazed soulfulness thrown in."

Leon Russell And Mary Russell: The Paradise Years 1976-1981, 4CD Box Set

First-ever collection of late superstar Leon Russell’s recordings for his own Paradise Records label. This 4CD collection features expanded editions of his solo albums, collaborations with Mary Russell and New Grass Revival, and Mary’s own album 'Heart Of Fire'. Guests include Bobby Womack, Nigel Olsson of The Elton John Band, Maxayn Lewis, Mickey Raphael, The Buckinghams’ Marty Grebb, Baja Marimba Band founder Julius Wechter, electronic music pioneer Roger Linn, and the Chicago horn section.
