Nicolette Larson: Look in My Direction - The Warner Bros. Recordings, 4CD

• First-ever, definitive anthology of the late Nicolette Larson’s recordings for the Warner Bros. label.

• Featuring all of Nicolette Larson’s original albums for Warner Bros., produced by Ted Templeman (The Doobie Brothers, Van Halen) and singer-songwriter Andrew Gold (‘Thank You for Being a Friend,’ ‘Lonely Boy’), plus bonus tracks!

• A deluxe 4CD set featuring 57 tracks of classic Southern California rock and pop (some might say Yacht Rock!) from one of the era’s richest voices.

• Guests include Linda Ronstadt, The Doobie Brothers’ Michael McDonald, Pat Simmons, Tom Johnston, Tiran Porter, John McFee, and Bobby LaKind, Little Feat’s Bill Payne, Paul Barrere, and Fred Tackett; guitar gods Eddie Van Halen and Ronnie Montrose, Van Dyke Parks, Valerie Carter, Klaus Voormann and many others!

• With numerous bonus tracks including the rare Jim Burgess 12-inch Disco Mix of ‘Lotta Love,’ the first-time-on-CD soundtrack cut ‘Summer Hearts’ from National Lampoon’s Vacation, and Nicolette’s duets with Emmylou Harris, Christopher Cross, Steve Goodman, and The Doobie Brothers!

• Produced and annotated by Joe Marchese of Second Disc Records whose notes feature archival quotes from Nicolette Larson, Neil Young, Ted Templeman, Andrew Gold, Linda Ronstadt, and Russ Kunkel.

Nicolette Larson rose to fame singing with Neil Young on his classic albums American Stars ‘n Bars and Comes a Time. Signed to Warner Bros. Records as a solo artist, she teamed with a ‘Who’s Who’ of the West Coast rock scene for four shimmering studio albums and one live set that effortlessly blended pop, rock, soul, R&B, country, gospel, bluegrass, and jazz.

Key tracks include Neil Young’s ‘Lotta Love’ (heard in its original album version, 12-inch single remix, and The Lotta Nic Mix), and songs by JD Souther and Glenn Frey (‘Last in Love’), Jackson Browne ('I'll Fly Away (Without You)’), Burt Bacharach (‘Mexican Divorce’), Leon Russell (‘Say You Will’), Bill and Fran Payne (‘Give a Little’), Michael McDonald (the duet ‘Let Me Go, Love’), and Lowell George (‘Trouble’) plus sizzling and soulful covers of Dusty Springfield’s ‘I Only Want to Be with You’, Marvin Gaye’s ‘Baby Don’t You Do It’, and The Supremes’ ‘Back in My Arms (Again)’.

Seals and Crofts: Gold And Rainbows - The Warner Bros. Years 1969-1978, 5CD Box Set

• For fans of: The Eagles, Crosby Stills & Nash.
• Ten albums from the ‘Summer Breeze’ songwriters’ time at Warner Bros.

Despite epitomizing the platinum selling Californian soft rock sound that dominated the US airwaves throughout the mid-1970s, both Jim Seals and Darrell “Dash” Crofts originally hailed from Texas. Formed in 1969 in Los Angeles, Seals and Crofts released their self-titled debut the same year, followed by ‘Down Home’ in 1970. Warner Bros. Records were the ideal home for their mellow, acoustic based sound, with whom they signed in 1971 for ‘Year Of Sunday’. Seals and Crofts and Warner Bros. finally struck gold with 1972’s ‘Summer Breeze’, a worldwide smash that year, which was subsequently covered and a global hit for The Isley Brothers.

Snips: The Solo Years 1978-1981, 3CD Box Set

• Features former Sharks and Baker Gurvitz Army singer Steve ‘Snips’ Parsons’ 1978 debut solo album ‘Video King’ and its 1981 follow up ‘La Rocca!’, both forgotten new wave gems ripe for rediscovery.

• Packaged with associated singles and BBC recordings.

• ‘Video King’ is released on CD for the first time.

• Includes 31 previously unreleased recordings including the never before issued songs ‘Taxi’ and ‘Kustom Car Kommandos’. 27 of these unissued recordings are BBC live in concert and session tracks.

• Snips compiled this box set and wrote the notes.
