JIM BOB | Where Songs Come From – Lyrics and Origin Stories of 150 Solo & Carter USM songs… out now!

  • Where Songs Come From – The Lyrics and Origin Stories of 150 Solo and Carter USM Songs’ is Jim Bob’s ninth book and his third work of music-related non-fiction.
  • A fantastic read that is funny, sad, insightful, nostalgic, philosophical, moving, intelligent, personal, wide-ranging, and inspiring.
  • Includes an exclusive signed postcard, signed by Jim Bob.

In this book Jim Bob attempts to explain where songs come from, how they got here, and maybe even why. The book contains the lyrics to 150 Jim Bob and Carter songs, including ‘Sheriff Fatman’, ‘Twenty Four Minutes From Tulse Hill’, ‘Shoppers’ Paradise’, ‘Jo’s Got Papercuts’ and ‘Thanks For Reaching Out’, as well as previously unseen images from what Jim Bob has described as his ‘private collection’.

‘Where Songs Come From’ is as much a revealing autobiography as it is a lyric book. With inspired musings on a vast array of subjects, and a fascinating personal accountof Jim Bob’s history told via his songs. It could equally have been titled ‘Where Jim Bob Comes From’.

Look out for personal appearances, book signings and reading events. Maybe a few songs.

Jim Bob is best known as the singer with Carter The Unstoppable Sex Machine. With Carter he toured the world, had 14 Top 40 singles and four Top Ten albums (including a number one) and headlined Glastonbury.
