NEW MUSIC FRIDAY -27 FEBRUARY 2026

Hawkwind: Hawkwind, 3CD/Blu-ray Edition Box Set / Remastered Vinyl Edition / CD Edition

Released in August 1970 on the Liberty label, the album was recorded in March and April of that year and established Hawkwind as one of the most exciting and original bands to emerge from the UK Underground scene. Tracks such as ‘Hurry On Sundown’, ‘Mirror of Illusion’, ‘Be Yourself’, ‘Seeing It As You Really Are’ and ‘Paranoia’ set the scene for the legendary Space Rock style that Hawkwind would explore to great acclaim and success in the 1970s and beyond.

This limited-edition deluxe boxed set comprises three CDs and a Blu-Ray disc and features a brand new remaster of the original album an additional CD of rare live recordings from 1970 from Dave Brock’s archives along with with seven bonus tracks drawn from a 1969 demo session, both sides of the ‘Hurry On Sundown’ single and a studio out-take and new stereo and 5.1 Surround Sound mixes of the album by Stephen W Tayler.

The set is completed with an illustrated book with new essay, making this boxed set the definitive release of this legendary album.

The Residents: Animal Lover (Evolution Edition), 3CD Digipack

An expansive, detailed exploration of one of The Residents’ greatest works, and a favourite of the band themselves.

From its humble beginnings in 2001 as a Civil War themed album, through multiple incarnations (‘Feast Of Manias’, ‘Tiger Love’ and more), ‘Animal Lover’ took shape in a way no other Residents album had before. Evolving and morphing across multiple distinct phases, with contributions from collaborators as well as The Residents themselves, the album saw the group explore new sonic territory, complex arrangements and a contemporary sound whilst retaining their own unmistakable aesthetic.

Mountain: Don't Look Around - The Recordings 1969-1974, 7CD Box Set

Founded in Long Island, New York in 1969, Mountain were one of the most influential American rock bands of the late 1960s/early 1970s. Their musical style fused blues, hard rock and progressive influences and was anchored around the virtuoso guitarist Leslie West, the producer, writer and multi-instrumentalist Felix Pappalardi, drummer Corky Laing and keyboard player Steve Knight.

Taking inspiration from the legendary British band Cream, West had approached producer Pappalardi (who had worked with Cream and Jack Bruce) with a view to him producing West’s first solo album. The resulting album ‘Mountain’ was released in July 1969 and saw West backed by Felix Pappalardi on bass and keyboards and drummer N.D. Smart. To promote the album a band was assembled with the addition of Steve Knight on keyboards.

Nektar: Down To Earth, Remastered and Expanded 4CD Edition

This new clamshell box edition comprises 4 CDs and has been newly remastered from the original master tapes. It also features 26 additional tracks, including a live-in-the-studio session recorded in March 1974, alternate mixes of the album tracks and a full previously unreleased concert recorded at the Keil Auditorium in St. Louis in April 1975.

The set also includes an illustrated book with previously unseen photos and a new essay.

The Exploited: Punk's Not Dead, 45th Anniversary Gatefold Splatter Vinyl Edition

Originally released in 1981, their debut album was as much a rallying battle cry as a record. It was called 'Punk’s Not Dead’ and went on to become the number one independent album of 1981, reaching number 20 in the national charts and selling 150,000 copies. 45 years later, The Exploited are still going strong and proving Punk's Not Dead by touring the globe, still fronted by the legend that is Wattie Buchan.

See them play it live! The Exploited are performing live across Europe to celebrate the anniversary on their Punk's Not Dead 45 Years Tour 2025...

Wild Horses: Standing Our Ground - Complete Recordings 1978-1981, 6CD Box Set
