The album sheds great insight into the kind of interplay and liberal interpretation that made Earthworks Mark I an even more powerful live unit than it was studio innovator.
Four years later, Bruford would form a new version of the band - Earthworks Mark 2 - in a more conventional acoustic jazz vein.
