A classically trained violinist, fine keyboard player and incredibly expressive, soulful vocalist, Angela has once again written, arranged and produced the album herself.
When she visited the UK for solo dates Angela set the first Jazz FM Soul Weekend alight with a performance that was remarkable for its soulful intensity. DJ/journalist Terry Jones wrote: “..you could have heard a pin drop, such was the respect shown for this lady, So moving was her performance that tears flowed in the room – never have I witnessed anything like this from one of the new breed of soul stars”
This album sees Angela in more up-tempo, funky mood than on her more introspective, ballad-oriented debut. Several of the cuts, notably ‘Whatever It Takes’, ‘Where’s The Love’ and ‘Early Bird’, with horns to the fore, have a noticeably UK jazz funk flavour, while the hypnotic groove of ‘All I Need’ will fill plenty of dancefloors.
