ESOTERIC RECORDINGS are pleased to announce the release of a newly remastered and expanded edition of the classic album "AIRWAVES” by the GORDON GILTRAP BAND. For over forty years Gordon has enjoyed the well-deserved reputation as one of Britain’s greatest guitar players. He made his first recordings in the 1960s as folk artist, but by late 70s he had crossed into the Progressive Rock genre. A trio of albums on the Electric Records label earned Gordon much praise and an ever-increasing fan base. In 1979 he released the album "The Peacock Party” for PVK Records, (also re-released on Esoteric this month), a highly successful project. 1982’s "Airwaves” was his next album.  The project started life as a library music album but the material was thought so strong that it was decided to expand the work enough to release commercially as the next album by the Gordon Giltrap Band.

"AIRWAVES” saw Gordon backed by a band of outstanding musicians such as CHAS CRONK (Bass), ROD EDWARDS (keyboards), BIMBO ACOCK (saxophone & flute) and CLIVE BUNKER (drums) and featured many outstanding tracks.

This Esoteric Recordings edition is newly remastered from the original tapes and includes four bonus tracks recorded for the original "Airwaves” library music project. The reissue also features an illustrated booklet with new essay and interview with Gordon Giltrap.

This product is released June 30 2014 and will not be dispatched before this date.

Ravens & Lullabies 2CD Signed Limited Edition
A LIMITED SIGNED 2 CD DIGIPACK EDITION OF THE NEW STUDIO ALBUM BY GORDON GILTRAP AND OLIVER WAKEMAN

FEATURING A BONUS CD OF UNRELEASED LIVE RECORDINGS AND STUDIO TRACKS -

March 4th 2013 will see guitar legend Gordon Giltrap and keyboardist Oliver Wakeman (following his years of touring with the classic progressive rock band YES) release their debut collaborative album 'Ravens & Lullabies' by Esoteric Antenna, a 13 song collection of hard hitting memorable rock pieces coupled with thought provoking lyrics alongside acoustic duets featuring their fine instrumental interplay. Gordon and Oliver spent 2012 writing and recording the album which features a return for Gordon to his rock roots following a 30 year absence and Oliver's first recorded works since his departure from both Yes and Strawbs. The album has been recorded and mixed by 'Threshold' guitarist Karl Groom (who also mixed the Yes 'Live In Lyon' record which featured Oliver on keyboards).
This limited signed 2 disc edition features a Bonus CD of live recordings taken from Gordon and Oliver’s 2012 tour and re-recordings of pieces from Oliver and Gordon's past catalogue. Ravens and Lullabies sees a host of respected musicians joining Gordon and Oliver in the studio. Vocalist Paul Manzi has performed with the Oliver Wakeman Band for the last 6 years (appearing on the live DVD 'Coming to Town') and is the current vocalist for the rock band Arena. Steve Amadeo is an in demand Jazz/Blues/Rock session bass player, is currently performing with Blues guitarist Aynsley Lister and Johanne James has been the drummer for Threshold for the last 12 years. The album also features a special vocal appearance by Benoit David, Oliver's old band mate from Yes, on the track 'From the Turn of a Card' written by Oliver during the Yes recording sessions of 2010.
Gordon Giltrap says "Working with Oliver is like a breath of fresh air. I knew of his reputation as a fine musician, and it made perfect sense for me to tap into his creative energy, not only to bring out certain elements of my musical gifts but to create something new and exciting, whilst giving a nod in the direction of our respective Progressive Rock roots". Oliver Wakeman adds, "After working with YES, the chance of working with another legendary artist was an opportunity too good to miss. I am having a wonderfully productive time working with Gordon and feel we are creating something genuinely unique in our 'Ravens & Lullabies' project." Many of Gordon's fans have been asking for years when he is going to return to his rock roots and others wondered what Oliver would write after the Yes experiences. 'Ravens & Lullabies' provides the answer.

Bad Attitude: 30th Anniversary Edition
•    "Bad Attitude” is Meat Loaf’s fourth studio album. Representing an upswing in the singer’s career, the album features four singles; ‘Nowhere Fast’, ‘Modern Girl’, ‘Surf's Up’ and ‘Piece Of The Action’.

•    After the phenomenal success of debut LP "Bat Out Of Hell” in 1977 (34 million copies and counting), Meat Loaf followed it with 1981’s "Dead Ringer”, another sizeable hit, with both albums showcasing the mercurial song writing talents of Jim Steinman. Having then parted company with Steinman, 1983’s "Midnight At The Lost And Found” found the singer in somewhat of a commercial dip, until 1984’s "Bad Attitude”. It features two Steinman penned tunes, ‘Surf’s Up’, previously recorded for Jim Steinman’s solo debut "Bad For Good” in 1981 plus ‘Nowhere Fast’, which had originally been written for the soundtrack to the movie "Streets Of Fire”.

•    There are also two notable duets on this record; The Who’s Roger Daltrey appears on the title track, whilst Clare Torry, who is probably best known for her vocals on Pink Floyd’s "Dark Side Of The Moon”, duets on ‘Modern Girl’.

•    This edition is packaged in a digi-pak with extensive liner notes, 16 page booklet, plus plenty of rare artwork and memorabilia.

TRACK LIST

1.    BAD ATTITUDE (Duet With Roger Daltrey)
2.    MODERN GIRL (Duet With Clare Torry)
