Everybody is Fantastic - Microdisney

Everybody is Fantastic
· Microdisney began recording in their native town of Cork, Ireland. Their first few singles, including 1983's "Pink Skinned Man", were produced by Dave Feeley, and released on indie labels Kabuki records.

· After relocating to London, they signed to Rough Trade, and utilised John Porter (producer of The Smiths) to produce their debut album, Everybody is Fantastic. At this time, the band became acquainted with John Peel, who championed their music, and gave them the first of several celebrated Peel Sessions.

· This re-issue done in conjunction with the band contains rare single B-sides and the complete Peel session recorded at the time. With notes in collaboration with the band and a book packed with memorabilia this release serves as a great re-introduction to this finest of Irish bands.

The World Keeps Turning
The Razorcuts were Gregory Webster and Tim Vass and they existed between 1984 amd 1990. They made records for some very cool labels: Creation, Subway and in a one-off reunion, Sarah records. Their songs were heartfelt tuneful and well worth revisiting. The World Keep Turning was the bands second album on Creation and is presented here with six bonus tracks including the duo s reunion on Sarah Records as the Forever People. We have added a luxury booklet with pictures from the bands collection and exclusive sleeve-notes by Michael White.

The Wrong People
Furniture formed in Ealing, West London, 1979 by Jim Irvin, Tim Whelan and Hamilton Lee. They built up a strong following in and around London before bolstering their line up to include Sally Still and Maya Gilda. They released several independent singles through Survival Records before signing to Stiff Records in 1986. Best know for their 1986 single ‘Brilliant Mind' which has since featured on many compilations over the years. At the time of the ‘The Wrong People's' release Stiff Records went into liquidation with only having manufactured 30,000 vinyl copies and no CD. This vinyl has become a cult classic and very sought after over the years. The band eventually called it a day in 1992 with the various members going on to other projects. Jim Irvin fronted a keyboard/voice duo called ‘Because' before turning his hand to journalism, currently writing for Mojo. Tim and Hami formed Transglobal Underground who still record and tour today. This long overdue and debut CD release adds an additional nine bonus tracks. Pulling together b-sides and extended versions from their two singles off the album along with two unreleased demos from the bands own archive. Our Price: £9.95
