And About Time Too

PLEASE NOTE THE SIGNED COPIES ARE ALL NOW SOLD OUT *** WE HAVE A VERY LIMITED AMOUNT OF SIGNED COPIES AVAILABLE, PLEASE ORDER NOW TO GET YOUR COPY!! ***

Before joining the original line-up of Whitesnake, Bernie Marsden had already enjoyed a varied career having been in Wild Turkey, Cozy Powell’s Hammer, Babe Ruth and UFO. After a short period in Paice Ashton Lord (or PAL), a band featuring ex-Deep Purple and future Whitesnake members Ian Paice on drums and the late, great Jon Lord on keyboards, Bernie found his niche as lead guitarist for David Coverdale’s new band Whitesnake in 1978 for the "Snakebite EP” and "Trouble” LP.

Originally released by EMI on their famed Parlophone label in 1979, "And About Time Too!” has an impressive list of guest musicians; Cream’s Jack Bruce on bass and vocals, Don Airey (Rainbow, Ozzy, Deep Purple, Colosseum II) on keyboards, Ian Paice (Whitesnake, Deep Purple) on drums, semi-legendary session drummer Simon Phillips (Jeff Beck, David Gilmour, Judas Priest, Toto), Cozy Powell (Jeff Beck, Rainbow, MSG, Black Sabbath, Whitesnake) on drums, Neil Murray (Colosseum II, Whitesnake) on bass and Jon Lord (Deep Purple, Whitesnake) on keyboards, all make an appearance on the album.

The album was produced, by Martin Birch famed for his work with Fleetwood Mac, Deep Purple, Rainbow, Whitesnake, Iron Maiden and Black Sabbath, features the rare non-album b-side ‘You & Me’.

The release features new, updated artwork based on photos from the original album session, plus a new interview conducted in 2012 with Bernie for this release.

Tilt
Released 15/06/09. Considered to be one of England's best drummers, and very much in demand for rock and pop records, Cozy Powell was almost legendary for a heavy-hitting style that could be made to work with many kinds of rock music, whether for the thundering pop productions helmed by Mickie Most, Black Sabbath, Emerson, Lake & Powell, or even his own solo work (notably "Dance with the Devil," which was a major English hit in 1973.) Powell began his professional music career in 1965 with the Sorcerers, eventually winding up working with Jeff Beck after Beck left the Yardbirds. In 1971, Powell formed Bedlam, but eventually abandoned this project to produce singles such as "Dance with the Devil." He later formed Cozy Powell's Hammer, which broke up in 1975. After a brief sabbatical, he joined Rainbow, helping to give the band a thundering rhythm section before quitting after four years and four albums in 1980. Always in demand for the drum seat, he alternated between session work and working in a variety of bands, including the Michael Schenker Group, Whitesnake and Black Sabbath, never staying in any one band for very long. In 1996, he worked with former Fleetwood Mac guitarist Peter Green on his long-awaited comeback tour. At the time of his death on April 5, 1998, he was recuperating from a foot injury that had sidelined him from touring work with guitarist Yngvie Malmsteen. He was driving on the M4 Motorway towards Bristol when he apparently lost control of his car (due to bad weather), slamming into the center divider of the motorway. He died a few hours later in the hospital. Our Price: £9.95

Look At Me Now
PLEASE NOTE THE SIGNED COPIES ARE ALL NOW SOLD OUT *** WE HAVE A VERY LIMITED AMOUNT OF SIGNED COPIES AVAILABLE, PLEASE ORDER NOW TO GET YOUR COPY!! ***

Before joining the original line-up of Whitesnake, Bernie Marsden had already enjoyed an illustrious career having been guitarist in Wild Turkey, Cozy Powell’s Hammer, Babe Ruth, UFO and Paice Ashton Lord (or PAL), a band featuring ex-Deep Purple and future Whitesnake members Ian Paice on drums and Jon Lord on keyboards. After PAL, Bernie found his niche as lead guitarist for David Coverdale’s new band Whitesnake in 1978 for David’s "North Winds” tour, "Snakebite EP” and "Trouble” LP.

Bernie Marsden’s second solo LP, made whilst he was still a full-time member of Whitesnake, was originally released by EMI on their Parlophone imprint in 1981.

"Look At Me Now” features Ian Paice (Whitesnake, Deep Purple) on drums, semi-legendary session drummer Simon Phillips (Jeff Beck, David Gilmour, Judas Priest, Toto), Neil Murray (Colosseum II, Whitesnake) on bass and Jon Lord (Deep Purple, Whitesnake) on keyboards.

Produced by Bernie Marsden himself, the album features the rare non-album b-side ‘Always Love You So’.

Slaves And Masters
Deep Purple have a long and colourful career that goes back to 1968, 45 years ago. Originally released in 1990, "Slaves And Masters” represents an interesting and unique period in the band’s eventful history.
In 1984 the legendary "Mark 2” line-up of Ian Gillan, Ritchie Blackmore, Roger Glover, Jon Lord and Ian Paice reformed for the first time since 1973 for the world conquering "Perfect Strangers” album, followed in 1987 by "The House Of Blue Light”. But in 1989 there was the shock announcement that Gillan had been replaced by Blackmore and Glover’s former Rainbow band mate and singer, Joe Lynn Turner.
The result was their first album for Sony Music’s RCA label, "Slaves And Masters”, a strong but soulful, melodic hard rock record, though somewhat misunderstood at the time, stands proudly alongside Deep Purple and Ritchie Blackmore’s other recorded output.
The 16 page booklet features a 3,500 word essay telling the story of the album, and features many rare images and memorabilia, with initial pressings in a strictly limited edition digipak.
Also included are three bonus tracks; the single edits for ‘King Of Dreams’ and ‘Love Conquers All’, plus the non-album b-side ‘Slow Down Sister’.

Russian Roulette
•    The 7th studio album by German heavy metal heroes Accept, "Russian Roulette” was originally released in 1986. Recorded at famed Dierks Studios in Germany, the album was produced by the band themselves.

•    The last Accept LP to feature Udo Dirkschneider, until his return in 1993, the album finds Accept returning to darker tones and a heavier sound to that of the more commercially orientated previous record, "Metal Heart”. The artwork and themes of the record reflects an era when the cold war still at its height, and the fall of the Berlin wall still more than three years away.

•    This remastered version features 3 live bonus tracks recorded on their 1985 Japanese tour; ‘Burning’, ‘Head Over Heels’ and ‘Neon Nights’. Also available from HNE Recordings by Accept are the 2CD "Balls To The Wall” with a bonus live CD of "Staying A Life - Live In Japan” and "Metal Heart” backed with the bonus mini-album "Kaizuko-Ban”.

•    This version features new liner notes from Classic Rock and Metal Hammer’s Malcolm Dome, based on recent interviews with original members Wolf Hoffmann and Stefan Kaufmann.

•    This CD is released 21st April and will not be shipped prior to this date.
