Made in France: France Gall's Baby Pop - France Gall

This album is the definitive collection of Gallic girl France Gall’s upbeat, irresistible girl pop, recorded for Phillips 1963-1968.

She won the 1965 Eurovision Song Contest with Poupée De Cire Poupée De Son, written specially for her by the legendary cultural icon Serge Gainsbourg. She was the first pop singer he’d written for.

Made in France: France Gall’s Baby Pop includes all the songs Gainsbourg composed for France Gall, bringing them together for the first time outside France. It’s also the first time Poupée De Cire Poupée De Son has been released in the English-speaking world since the 60s.

As well as satirising Swinging London on Made in France Gall brought her naive magic to subversive Gainsbourg songs like Teenie Weenie Boppie” (about LSD) and Les Sucettes (a barely cloaked metaphor for a sex act – she had no idea what the song was about).

Also unique are the first chance to hear her shelved take of Gainsbourg's Bloody Jack outside France, and the first-ever reissue of her Japanese-language version of Poupée De Cire Poupée De Son.

Use Your Imagination

For the first time on CD, 7Ts are proud to bring you Mud, one of the most successful groups of the '70s, and their 1975 UK top 40 album, "Use your Imagination" - featuring the top 10 hits "L'L'Lucy" and "Show me you're Woman".

Having chalked up 11 U.K. Top 20 singles in just over two years there was no doubting that in the early part of the 70's there were very few more successful British groups than Mud. Mud even enjoyed success around the world especially in Germany where they enjoyed Top 10 chart success as well.

However, nearly all of their hits had been written by Nicky Chinn and Mike Chapman (also responsible for the likes of Suzi Quatro, Smokie and Sweet) and though Mud had written many of the B-sides, by mid '75 they felt confident enough in their own ability to 'go it alone' and so dispensed with the service of Chinn and Chapman.

Mud are still touring around the world and are well received wherever they play. The package is a typical 7T's production with extensive sleevenotes and rare photos, so a collectors dream!

Galactic Zoo Dossier
		Released on 22/02/10 Esoteric Recordings are proud to announce the release of a newly re-mastered and expanded of Galactic Zoo Dossier , the first album by Arthur Brown's Psych / Space Rock outfit Kingdom Come. Issued on Polydor in 1971, the album launched the band, gaining instant notoriety. Touching on the musical territory of fellow travellers Hawkwind, Galactic Zoo Dossier was a masterwork and is now rightly regarded as a classic. Another Fine Tune You’ve Got Me Into – Re-Mastered Edition
		Released 25/05/09. Esoteric Recordings are pleased to announce the first official release of a re-mastered edition of the classic 1978 album by Gilgamesh. These Canterbury stylists were formed in 1972 with the core of the band built around Alan Gowen on keyboards and Mike Travis on drums. At various times the line-up included former Caravan and Hatfield & the North member Richard Sinclair, Mont Campbell (formerly of EGG) and Neil Murray. After recording a debut album for Virgin's Caroline label, the band recorded this wonderful album in 1978 for Charly Records. For this, the final Gilgamesh album, Alan Gowen was joined by guitarist Phil Lee, former Soft Machine bass player Hugh Hopper and drummer Trevor Tomkins. A Time Before This
		A Time Before This' is a lost classic of the Progressive era. Released on the short lived Youngblood label in 1970, the double album was the first vinyl outing for Science Fiction author Julian Jay Savarin, who assembled a group of musicians to record this conceptual work. Officially unavailable for many years, this Esoteric reissue has been re-mastered from the original tapes and features fully restored artwork.
