Rock You Sinners - Music

Rock You Sinners
Popular London radio DJ Johnny Laurence dreams of hosting his own television show. He meets with little success - until his assistant Pete persuades him that Rock 'n' Roll is where it's at! Johnny and Pete put together a hit show featuring the hottest acts of the day, and Johnny becomes a star. There is a note of sadness amid the success, however: a misunderstanding has caused a rift between Johnny and his loyal girlfriend Carol. Fortunately, the couple are reunited and reconciled at the Brazil Coffee Bar - where their story is put into song!

Rock You Sinners provides a fascinating snapshot of the earliest days of British Rock 'n' Roll, with performances by Art Baxter and his Rockin' Sinners, Tony Crombie and his Rockets, Dickie Bennett, Joan Small, Don Sollash and his Rockin' Horses, 'Curly' Pat Barry, George 'Calypso' Browne, and Rory Blackwell and the Blackjacks. Jackie Collins and Oh Boy! host Tony Hall also appear in this rare musical feast from 1957.
