New and Forthcoming on Shout!

Summertime southern soul comes from Joe Tex : "Top of the Dial – early hits and rarities" (Shout 47), which will present his complete recordings issued on Dial Records in the 3000-series (before his hit 45 "Hold What You Got" launched the 4000-series) on CD for the first time, along with some hard-to-find tracks from previous re-issue CDs which are now out-of-print.

"A Little Bit Naughty" is the tempting title of our 2-CD package by Denise LaSalle, scheduled for July release (Shout D48), in which we have gathered together a selection of the best tracks from the LPs she recorded for ABC and subsequently MCA during the 1970s, including a captivating 15-minute 'live' medley of lilting soul hits which Denise calls "My Groove".

The search continues for collectable soul and R&B music from the 1960s and '70s (and the occasional venture into the '50s!) to re-issue in Shout! style, and any suggestions and/or connections you can offer regarding possible future projects will be most welcome.

Meanwhile the momentous landmark of Shout 50 approaches, and we hope to be able to present a particularly notable release to celebrate that!
