ork1 This is the collection of Manager and Producer Adrian Millar's recordings made with an evolving line up of the 70's power rockers The Babys, from the time he put them together around original leader Michael Corby to their first record label deal. Before The Babys signed their legendary seven figure deal with Chrysalis, and released their first album in 1977, Millar had been working up original material, honing their looks and preparing for an assault on the music industry. Touting these early recordings and an early promo video film got Millar the deal, but the recordings were left on the shelf as a new producer and eventually new management ousted Millar from the picture. An edited version of the tracks escaped, unbeknownst to Millar, in the early 1980's but since then they've disappeared. That is until the inevitable no.1 Babys fan emerged and persuaded Millar to dig up the original tapes for a chance to release the unedited takes of the recordings. Thus we present those unedited tapes enhanced through careful remastering, in a package with contributions from Millar and a cache of previously unpublished photos from those early days. The Babys were a massive act in the US during the late 70's, and spawned the solo career of bassist and vocalist John Waite who's 1984 no.1 chart hit Missing You remains an AOR staple on US and international radio playlists.
