Sowin’ Love / Heroes - Paul Overstreet

Sowin’ Love / Heroes
Two fantastic albums originally released in 1989 and 1991 from the great Singer/Songwriter Paul Overstreet.
"Sowin’ Love” spent 62 weeks on the Billboard Country Album Charts and "Heroes” for 59 weeks. The combination of these two albums features eight Top 10 singles.
Even though Paul has had a successful recording career, it is his songwriting that has brought him the greatest success. He has written 27 Top 10 singles with Grammy awards given for ‘Forever And Ever Amen’ (Randy Travis) and ‘Love Can Build A Bridge’ (The Judds). Other notable songs are ‘When You Say Nothing At All’, major hits for Keith Whitley, Alison Krauss and Ronan Keating and ‘On The Other Hand’ recorded by Randy Travis. His breakthrough composition ‘Same Ole Me’ was a big hit for George Jones in 1982. BMI honoured him as Songwriter of the Year for five consecutive years from 1987-1991, an achievement that has not been reached before or since. No-one writes songs about love and family better than Paul Overstreet. Paul was inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2003.

Jones Country / You’ve Still Got A Place In My Heart
Two original studio albums from the greatest voice in Country Music.
"Jones Country” released in 1983 was a fine album but has the strange distinction of having the single ‘Radio Lover’ released six years later. At the time of the album’s release George’s record company were just about to issue the smash hit duet with Ray Charles ‘We Didn’t See A Thing’ from Ray Charles’ "Friendship” album. This could have been the reason for no initial single releases from "Jones Country”.
The album’s name was taken from an outdoor music park operated and owned by George in Texas near his birthplace between the years 1983 and 1988.
‘You’ve Still Got A Place In My Heart’ was released in 1984, the title track reaching No. 3 in the singles chart.
Both albums produced by Billy Sherrill.
Both albums released for the first time on CD.
