Kitsch
A much requested quality CD revamp for the third album by cult 70’s Rock legends the Heavy Metal Kids. Originally released in 1977 on RAK Records and produced by Mickie Most
Includes the singles ‘Chelsea Kids’ and ‘She’s No Angel’ (a track later covered by Hanoi Rocks vocalist Michael Monroe).
One rare B-side (‘Hey Little Girl’, a favourite of Lady Gaga!) plus the brilliant ‘Delirious’ single have been added as bonus tracks.
Booklet includes original LP artwork, lyrics to all the songs, in-depth liner notes by Classic Rock’s Dave Ling and pictures of all relevant singles including rare European issues sure to appeal to the collectors.
Vocalist Gary Holton was also one of the main actors in cult TV series "Auf Wiedersehen Pet” which made stars of the likes of Kevin Whatley, Tim Healey, Jimmy Nail and Timothy Spall and which gets regular re-runs on the satellite TV channels.
Totally re-mastered by the much respected Tim Turan.
The Heavy Metal Kids, late vocalist Gary Holton in particular, were one of the first bands to bridge the gap between Rock and the emergence of Punk and are held in esteem by fans and bands of both genres – Cock Sparrer use ‘Overture’ as their entrance tape at gigs, Splodgenessabounds have covered ‘Delirious’ and the Sex Pistols Johnny Rotten has often cited Holton, alongside Ian Dury, as one of the main influences on his whole stage persona.

Press: "...Kitsch sounds brawny and unexpectedly fresh. Numbers such as Chelsea Kids and near-miss She's No Angel justify their place in Brit rock history." - Hugh Gulland, Vive Le Rock, Nov/Dec 2012
