There For None To See (Expanded Edition)

Grand Prix surfaced in the wake of the emerging New Wave Of British Heavy Metal scene in the late 70's. Not for them, however, the meat and two veg. approach of the likes of Saxon, Dedringer or Jaguar to their sound. From the outset, Grand Prix offered something distinctly more melodic and polished. This album is pivotal in Grand Prix's short but enjoyable career. The link between their early attempts at melodic metal and the polished sound of Samurai (the band's follow-up),There For None To See offered up their finest hour in 'Keep On Believing'. British melodic rock may have never managed to scale the grand heights of its American counterparts, but albums such as this prove it certainly had much to offer. Available for the first time ever on CD, this fantastic release has been brilliantly remastered and contains the bonus single b-side, 'Life On The Line'.

Gates To Purgatory
Taking their name from the track on the "Killing Machine” album by Judas Priest, Hamburg’s Running Wild would become best known as the Metal band with the pirate fixation. However, this image wasn’t to emerge until a good few years into their career (following their 3rd album release, "Under Jolly Roger” to be precise).

Prior to this, Running Wild were hell bent on establishing themselves on the wider European metal circuit, and following a number of well- placed demo tapes, the band came to the attention of Noise Records during the early 80s.

An invitation from the label lead to the band being included on the now revered compilation album, "Rock From Hell” which was released in ’83. This was quickly followed by inclusion on the ‘Death Metal’ comp. in ’84 where Running Wild had two tracks to their name. Gaining favourable interest the band were offered to record their first full-length album for Noise Records and "Gates To Purgatory” was released at the end of that same year.

With the band photographed surrounded by skulls and the satanic track titles, Running Wild began to draw comparisons to Venom and their ilk, when in reality they were more influenced by the aforementioned Priest along with Kiss and AC/DC.
Running Wild would go on to record eight studio albums for Noise and also release a live album. With a devoted fan-base, worldwide albums sales and a brand new album due for imminent release, "Gates To Purgatory” is where Running Wild first cast-off on their voyage of Metal discovery!

Sea Of Light
"Sea Of Light” was the 19th album by this British progressive heavy rock institution.
The album cover was created by legendary designer Roger Dean, who had previously painted the LP jackets for the classic Uriah Heep albums "Demons And Wizards” (1972) and "The Magician’s Birthday” (1972).
The album was recorded by the line-up of founder member Mick Box on guitar, longtime Heep drummer Lee Kerslake, Phil Lanzon on keyboards, fronted by led vocalist Bernie Shaw and completed by former Spider From Mars Trevor Bolder on bass.
This version now features the two bonus tracks ‘Sail The Rivers’ and ‘She Still Calls His Name’ and a single edit of ‘Dream On’.
This remastered release features a brand new essay from Classic Rock and Metal Hammer’s Malcolm Dome commissioned for this set and based on brand new interviews with the band members.
