•    Gene Chandler (born Eugene Dixon in 1937 in Chicago, Illinois.) is best remembered for the R&B and Pop #1 "Duke Of Earl” on which he sang lead vocal as part of the doo-wop group The Dukays. •    Having enjoyed a string of R&B hits through the 60’s and 70’s on various labels including a cover of James Brown’s "There Was A Time” (R&B #22) and "Groovy Situation” (R&B #8) Chandler moved on to become executive vice president at Chi Sound Records, where he released four disco funk albums between ’78 and ‘81.

•    GET DOWN (R&B #12/Pop #47) was the first of these albums and was released in 1978. •    Grammy Award winner and Hall of Famer, GLORIA GAYNOR was born on the 7th of September 1949 in Newark, N.J. and sang as a young girl in her school choir, mixed chorus and  her school’s girl glee club. While she knew she one day wanted to have a career in music, GLORIA GAYNOR still went to school with the aim of having something to fall back on and studied beauty and business courses.

•    Gaynor began to taste real success with the release of her cover version of Never Can Say Goodbye and later became iconic with the release of I Will Survive in 1978.

•    In 1982 GLORIA GAYNOR released her 10th studio album, GLORIA GAYNOR on Atlantic Records, now fully remastered and repackaged for the first time on CD by BBR! The album featured three singles which placed Gloria in a more R&B/Street Soul groove than she had previously recorded. ‘Tease Me’ was followed by an update of the Supremes classic ‘Stop In The Name Of Love’ which saw Gaynor backed by Kool & The Gang. Bad Attitude: 30th Anniversary Edition
•    "Bad Attitude” is Meat Loaf’s fourth studio album. Representing an upswing in the singer’s career, the album features four singles; ‘Nowhere Fast’, ‘Modern Girl’, ‘Surf's Up’ and ‘Piece Of The Action’.

•    After the phenomenal success of debut LP "Bat Out Of Hell” in 1977 (34 million copies and counting), Meat Loaf followed it with 1981’s "Dead Ringer”, another sizeable hit, with both albums showcasing the mercurial song writing talents of Jim Steinman. Having then parted company with Steinman, 1983’s "Midnight At The Lost And Found” found the singer in somewhat of a commercial dip, until 1984’s "Bad Attitude”. It features two Steinman penned tunes, ‘Surf’s Up’, previously recorded for Jim Steinman’s solo debut "Bad For Good” in 1981 plus ‘Nowhere Fast’, which had originally been written for the soundtrack to the movie "Streets Of Fire”.

•    There are also two notable duets on this record; The Who’s Roger Daltrey appears on the title track, whilst Clare Torry, who is probably best known for her vocals on Pink Floyd’s "Dark Side Of The Moon”, duets on ‘Modern Girl’.

•    This edition is packaged in a digi-pak with extensive liner notes, 16 page booklet, plus plenty of rare artwork and memorabilia.

TRACK LIST

1.    BAD ATTITUDE (Duet With Roger Daltrey)
2.    MODERN GIRL (Duet With Clare Torry)
3.    NOWHERE FAST
4.    SURF'S UP
5.    PIECE OF THE ACTION
6.    JUMPIN' THE GUN (Duet With Zee Carling)
7.    CHEATIN' IN YOUR DREAMS
8.    DON'T LEAVE YOUR MARK ON ME
9.    SAILOR TO A SIREN
