John’s contribution to the Moody Blues as a key member and songwriter is well known, and in 1977, whilst the band was on a hiatus, he recorded this solo album. Featuring contributions from guest musicians such as Kenney Jones, Chris Spedding, Mel Collins and Mick Weaver, the album was produced by Moody Blues’ producer Tony Clarke and was a UK Top 40 hit.

"Natural Avenue” has been remastered from the original master tapes and includes two bonus tracks, ‘Street Café’ and ‘Threw it All Away’, originally released as a single in 1980. The reissue also features a lavish booklet that fully restores the original album artwork.

Prog Is Not A Four Letter Word
Whoever came up with the over-pretentious, collective term "Progressive Rock" couldn’t have been less forward thinking. Prog rock in its truest form was not a ‘restrictive’ genre - it was a movement that unified ALL genres.

Forget such flamboyant cover stars such as Genesis, Yes and ELP, what of the truly progressive international rock musicians who started their own hybrid-hurricanes outside the rectangular iris of Prog's media storm? What about the unintentionally progressive musicians from the far reaches of the globe who were forced to create their own brand of psychedelic rock in a country shielded from the influence of the western world? And why don’t we spare a thought (and some needle time), for the culturally progressive crusaders carrying the rock-music flag in the face of political adversity risking social ostrasization or even death?

Even though most of the 15 tracks on this compilation were recorded over 30 years ago they still, individually embody a wide range of challenging progressive musical ideas which are as relevant today as they were when the vinyl first came off the press in each of their scattered countries of origin.

"Prog Is Not A Four Letter Word" is the follow-up to ANDY VOTEL (TWISTED NERVE)’s critically acclaimed "Folk Is Not A Four Letter Word" (CDDELAY01), which caused quite a stir earlier this year.

The majority of these tracks have never before been on CD, many appear here for the first time away from their highly sought after, and stupendously rare, original releases.

Faster Than The Speed Of Light
One of the great overlooked albums of the 1970s, Faster Than the Speed of Light was the result of a collaboration between legendary Crazy World & Kingdom Come visionary Arthur Brown and his former Crazy World colleague (and Atomic Rooster leader) Vincent Crane. The album was recorded for the German Innovative Communication label at a time when Brown was also collaborating with German Synthesiser genius Klaus Schulze (assuming the guise of RICHARDWAHNFRIED) on the album Time Actor , also released by Esoteric Recordings this month. The resulting record was a unique fusion of Brown s amazing vocals and eccentric musical visions and Crane’s innovative keyboard playing and arrangement ideas. This newly re-mastered reissue restores the original album artwork and includes a new essay. Renaissance : Deluxe Expanded Mono Edition
Renaissance, The Association s second LP, was originally issued by Valiant Records in November 1966. This Deluxe Expanded Mono Edition features the original mono mix of the album, which has been out of print since1967.The 16-page, full-colour booklet includes rare, unpublished photos and extensive liner notes featuring the participation of original band members.

"This collection of music of the past (no music of the future; that would be impossible sci-fi) showcases Miles as a top talent who simply needed a firm musical direction.”

-Geoff Barton / Classic Rock May 2012

"With all four singer/songwriter/guitarist John Miles’ Decca albums already released by sister label Lemon, the 7T’s imprint releases one which is arguably stronger than the others, as it rounds up the 17 songs Miles released as singles A- and B-sides during his Decca tenure.”
