Medusa
Field gte not in Database

A truly Classic Rock album that has stood the test of time. A blend of classic blues based rock music fused with soul, funk and occasional heavier elements it marks the crowning glory of Trapeze. Recorded in 1970 just as the band changed from being a five piece to becoming a power trio , with Glenn Hughes , Mel Galley , Dave Holland. With hindsight you could say rather like one of their influences Cream, Trapeze were something of a budding super group with Hughes later joining Deep Purple , Galley joining Whitesnake and Holland joining Judas Priest. Medusa the album was written by the band members and produced by John Lodge, of the Moody Blues, and released on the Moodies own Threshold label. They toured the world with it, and on occasion even had John Bonham sit in when they played his favourite song Jury.

The album features all the album tracks from the original "Rock And Roll Survivors" album. They're reputation was as musicians first and women second. Their ability, creativity and the level of success they achieved in this field was unprecedented. One of the band's fans was David Bowie, who stated during an interview with Billboard in 1999 stated "One of the most important female bands in American rock has been buried without a trace. And that is Fanny. They were one of the finest...rock bands of their time, in about 1973. They were extraordinary... they're as important as anybody else who's ever been, ever, it just wasn't their time". Wise words as the interest level in the band increases through fan sites and forums around the world on the net. Our Price: £9.95

Night music
Darryl Way was founder member of the legendary Curved Air, a group that brought Ways strident electric violin playing to the fore on a string of hit albums. In 1973, Way formed Wolf, a progressive outfit featuring guitarist John Etheridge, bassist Dek Messecar (later in Caravan) and drummer Ian Mosley (now in Marillion). The music was a heady mixture of styles and secured the band a contract with Deccas Deram label. Night Music was the final album in the Wolf trilogy and perhaps the finest. With the band augmented by former IF vocalist John Hodgkinson, the album is a lost classic of 70'srock. Our Price: £10.95
