North: Deluxe Edition - John Lees' Barclay James Havest

North: Deluxe Edition
· EAGERLY AWAITED NEW STUDIO ALBUM FROM JOHN LEES’ BARCLAY JAMES HARVEST
· FULL UK TOUR IN NOVEMBER 2013

Esoteric Antenna are pleased to announce the release of the eagerly awaited new studio album by John Lees’ BARCLAY JAMES HARVEST - "North”.

The album (featuring all new material) draws on the fine musical heritage of Barclay James Harvest whilst bringing the BJH legacy up to date with expansive compositions and thoughtful lyrics. The band’s roots in rural north-west England are explored on the album’s title track, along with another extended piece, ‘On Leave’. The album also includes the recent digital single ‘Unreservedly Yours’ and ‘Ancient Waves’, a song performed live in more recent times.

This deluxe limited edition 2CD digi-pack release includes a previously unreleased bonus CD featuring highlights of the band’s sold out concert at Buxton Opera House in February 2011, featuring classic Barclay James Harvest material.

"North” continues the Barclay James Harvest story and is the strongest work to emerge from the band in many years, a true group effort by John Lees, Craig Fletcher, Jez Smith and Kevin Whitehead. The album release is supported by an extended UK tour by the band in November 2013.

A Life Within A Day DELUXE EDITION
THE NEW STUDIO ALBUM BY SQUACKETT – THE COLLABORATIVE PROJECT BY YES FOUNDER & BASS GUITARIST CHRIS SQUIRE & FORMER GENESIS GUITARIST & SOLO ARTIST STEVE HACKETT DELUXE LIMITED HARDBACK 2 DISC EDITION WITH BOTH STEREO & 5.1 SURROUND SOUND MIXES OF THE MAJOR PROGRESSIVE ROCK ALBUM OF 2012

Esoteric Recordings are pleased to announce the latest release on their front-line label, ESOTERIC ANTENNA, dedicated to new releases by both new acts and established artists. SQUACKETT is the hugely anticipated collaborative album project between two legends of Progressive Rock, Chris Squire and Steve Hackett. With progressive rock (in its many forms) now seemingly more popular than ever, this collaboration from members of two of the godfathers of the genre is hugely exciting. Chris Squire has appeared on every YES album since 1969 and is widely regarded as one of the most influential bass guitarists of all time. Now an established solo artist, Steve Hackett first came to prominence as the guitarist with GENESIS. He was with the band from 1970 to 1977 and played on six studio albums and featured on three live albums before leaving to concentrate on his solo career. The two met when Chris Squire was working on a solo album and needed some guitar parts. Chris was put in touch with Steve and through these sessions the idea for SQUACKETT was born. Over four years in the making, the "Squackett” album is very much more than the sum of its parts. "It was very much about a bunch of pals swapping notes and anecdotes,” says Hackett "I think the material is simple and direct.” "It has a flavour to it that is reminiscent of a few things from different artists,” says Squire. "There is some clever Prog Rock stuff on the album, some jazzy bits, but there are parts that have vocal harmonies like Crosby, Stills and Nash” – SQUACKETT is THE major Progressive Rock release of 2012 and this DELUXE TWO DISC LIMITED EDITION of the album features a CD of the Stereo mix of the album and a DVD of the 5.1 Surround Sound mix. It is presented in the form of a CD sized hardback book.

Genesis (2CD)
NEW REMASTERED 2 DISC EXPANDED & REMASTERED EDITION OF THE CLASSIC DEBUT ALBUM BY THE GODS – FEATURING KEN HENSLEY & LEE KERSLAKE
FEATURING BOTH MONO & STEREO MIXES OF THE ALBUM ALONG WITH FOUR EXTRA BONUS TRACKS – THE FIRST EVER RELEASE OF THE ALBUM MONO MIX ON CD
REMASTERED FROM THE ORIGINAL EMI MASTER TAPES
Esoteric Recordings are pleased to announce a newly remastered edition of the debut album by THE GODS. Formed in Hatfield in 1965 by future Rolling Stones guitarist MICK TAYLOR, the band also featured KEN HENSLEY (keyboards, guitar, vocals), JOHN GLASCOCK (bass, vocals), JOE KONAS (guitar, vocals) and LEE KERSLAKE (drums). Originally a blues based band, in 1967 Mick Taylor departed to join JOHN MAYALL’S BLUESBREAKERS and during this period GREG LAKE joined the band briefly, replacing John Glascock on bass. By 1968 the band had signed to EMI’s Columbia label and had settled into a line-up that saw John Glascock return to the band. By this time The Gods had embraced both Psychedelia and Progressive styles. "Genesis” was a fine album and is now rightly hailed as a classic of the late Psychedelic and early Progressive era.
This Esoteric Recordings expanded reissue includes the original stereo and mono mixes of the album (the first time the mono mix has appeared on CD), along with four bonus tracks comprising the A & B sides of the band’s singles of the time. These includes The Gods’ cover version of The Beatles’ ‘Hey Bulldog’ and their original classic ‘Real Love Guaranteed’. The reissue has been newly re-mastered from the original EMI master tapes and includes a booklet that fully restores the original album artwork and a new essay.
