ESOTERIC RECORDINGS are pleased to announce the release of a newly remastered CD edition of the classic second album by WILD TURKEY, "Turkey”.

Former JETHRO TULL bassist Glenn Cornick formed Wild Turkey after departing Tull in 1971. The initial line-up of the band featured Glenn Cornick (bass), Graham Williams (guitar), Alan "Tweke” Lewis (guitar), John "Pugwash” Weathers (drums) and Gary Pickford-Hopkins (vocals). Before recording their first album, Weathers and Williams departed the fold to be replaced by Jon Blackmore (guitar & vocals) and Jeff Jones (drums). The album "Battle Hymn” was released by Chrysalis Records in 1971 and was well received by fans and critics alike. By the time of the band’s second album for Chrysalis Records, the line-up had changed again with Mick Dyche replacing Jon Blackmore on guitar and Steve Gurl joining on keyboards.

Unavailable officially on CD for over fifteen years, this classic album has been newly remastered from the original Chrysalis master tapes and features two rare bonus tracks, a booklet that restores the original album artwork and a new essay.

Is A Friend?
Released on 29/03/10. Is a Friend? by THE PARLOUR BAND. Issued by Decca's Deram imprint in 1972, this highly sought after release has never been issued on CD in the UK until now. Featuring Craig Anders (guitar, vocals), Mark Anders (bass, vocals), Peter Filleul (keyboards, guitar, vocals), Pix (lead vocals) and Jerry Robins (drums), The Parlour band was a melodic Progressive outfit who excelled vocally and toured extensively as support act to bands such as Caravan and Khan, but failed to make a commercial impression, despite the excellence of their work, leaving behind their sole album for Deram as their recorded legacy. The singles collection 1975-83
The first ever round up of all the singles, A’s and B’s, that the legend that is Ian Hunter issued for CBS and Chrysalis.

Originally known as the voice and face of Mott The Hoople, Hunter split in 1975 and started a solo career that is fast approaching its 40th year.

From 1975’s ‘Once Bitten Twice Shy’(a UK No.14 hit) right through until late 83’s ‘Somethin’s Goin’ On’, this 29 track release has all of Ian’s 45’s including many versions that were specially edited from LP length.

The sadly missed Mick Ronson plays on a good few of the tracks and other contributions come from the likes of Queen, members of Bruce Springsteen’s E Street Band including Clarence Clemons, John Cale of Velvet Underground and The Clash’s Mick Jones.

The song ‘Ships’ later gave (of all people) Barry Manilow a USA Top 10 hit whilst ‘Once Bitten Twice Shy’ was taken into the American Top 5 by Great White.
