Esoteric Recordings are pleased to announce a newly re-mastered edition of the classic 1972 debut album by WEST, BRUCE & LAING; "WHY DONTCHA”.
The album was the first studio offering by the trio and was a fine blend of hard rock (as defined by LESLIE WEST) and the unique compositional style of JACK BRUCE, finely complimented by the percussive powerhouse CORKY LAING.
"WHY DONTCHA” featured such fine compositions as the outstanding ‘Out into the Fields’, ‘The Doctor’ and ‘Why Dontcha’.
This Esoteric Recordings reissue has been newly re-mastered from the original master tapes and features a booklet that fully restores all original album artwork with a new essay.

Banco

Banco Del Mutuo Soccorso, better known in English speaking countries as Banco, were one of the finest Italian Progressive rock band s of the 1970 s and along with compatriot s P.F.M. were one of the better known Italian groups.

A successful act in their homeland, they came to international attention when they signed to Emerson, Lake and Palmer’s label Manticore in 1975. Their first album for the label, Banco was a fine work and featured reworked material with English vocals that had originally featured on their earlier Italian albums.

This new edition of the album has been newly re-mastered and marks the albums British debut on CD and continues the comprehensive series of releases of the classic Manticore catalogue.

Banco Del Mutuo Soccorso, better known in English speaking countries as BANCO, were one of the finest Italian Progressive rock bands of the 1970 s and along with compatriot s P.F.M. were one of the better known Italian groups

Gilgamesh
Esoteric Recordings are pleased to announce a new official Re-mastered release of the classic 1975 self- titled debut album by Gilgamesh.These Canterbury stylists were formed in 1972 with the core of the band built around Alan Gowen on keyboards and Mike Travis on drums. At various times the line-up included former caravan and hatfield & the north member Richard Sinclair, Mont Campbell (formerly of Egg) and Neil MurrayThe group’s debut album was recorded for Virgin’s Caroline label in 1975 and featured a line-up of Alan Gowen (keyboards), Phil Lee (guitar), Jeff Clyne (bass) and Mike Travis (drums). Released on 31/08/09 Alquin were one of the most innovative bands to burst forth on the Dutch Progressive Rock scene of the early 1970's. Adopting a Jazz influenced Progressive rock approach and attaining a sound unique from their contemporaries, the band soon found an appreciative audience throughout Europe with their debut album 'Marks', with British DJ Bob Harris declaring himself an admirer. Originally released on the Polydor label in 1972, this Esoteric Recordings release features the entire album on CD for the first time (as 'Mr. Barnum Jnr's Magnificent and Fabulous City' was omitted from a previous CD issue).
