Esoteric Recordings are pleased to announce a new CD release of Out Of The Storm, the 1974 album by the legendary Jack Bruce. Recorded in Los Angeles and London after the demise of the power trio West, Bruce & Laing, the album featured a collection of marvellous compositions which reflected Jack’s varied musical styles. Songs such as Keep It Down, Runnin Through Our Hands, One and Timeslip soon became staples of his concert repertoire and remain highly regarded and acclaimed.This Esoteric Recordings reissue also includes five alternate first mixes of Keep it Down, Keep on Wondering, Into the Storm, Peaces of Mind and One mixed at Olympic studios in May and June 1974 as bonus tracks.

A Story Ended – Expanded Edition
Released 29/06/09. Recorded in April 1972, 'A Story Ended' was the debut solo album by Colosseum saxophonist Dick Heckstall-Smith. Recorded upon the demise of Colosseum, the sessions featured contributions by Jon Hiseman, Mark Clarke, Chris Farlowe & Dave Greenslade Of The Band, along with Graham Bond (of whose organization Dick was a member alongside Jack Bruce & Ginger Baker), Chris Spedding and lyrical offerings from Pete Brown. A superb example of Jazz influenced Progressive rock, the album appeared on Bronze Records in 1972 and is now hailed as a classic of the genre. This Esoteric reissue features three live recordings as bonus tracks and two studio tracks by the band Manchild featuring Dick Heckstall-Smith, James Litherland, Dave Rose, Billy Smith and Theodore Thunder. Fat Mattress – Expanded Edition
Released 29/06/09. Recorded in 1969, 'Fat Mattress' was the eponymous debut album by the band formed by Jimi Hendrix Experience bass guitarist Noel Redding. Recorded in late 1968 / early 1969, the album evoked the influences of the time, touching upon styles pioneered by groups such as Traffic (whose member Chris Wood guested on the record). A superb piece of Psychedelic rock in its own right, 'Fat Mattress' failed to get the attention it deserved at the time of release (despite a tour as support act to the Hendrix Experience) but has subsequently been hailed as a classic of the era. This Esoteric reissue has eight bonus tracks comprising non-album singles, mono mixes, studio out-takes and an unreleased solo single by FAT MATTRESS' Jim Leverton. Our Price: £10.95
