Tempest - Tempest

Tempest
Esoteric Recordings are pleased to announce the release of a newly remastered edition of the debut album by TEMPEST, the group formed in 1972 by Colosseum drummer JON HISEMAN. Upon the demise of Hiseman's previous group he formed the muscular outfit Tempest with Colosseum bassist MARK CLARKE, guitarist ALLAN HOLDSWORTH and Vocalist and Keyboard player PAUL WILLIAMS. The band's debut album, originally released by Bronze Records in 1973, was a fine work and featured exemplary musicianship from the quartet. This Esoteric Recordings edition has been newly remastered and restores the albums original elaborate artwork.

The Wildhearts released the original Fishing for Luckies in December 1994, in a limited edition available only via their fan club. Gordon Mabbett contibuted accordion on "Geordie in Wonderland" and Marc Fox played additional percussion on "Do the Channel Bop."

After the top 10 success in the UK of the album P.H.U.Q. in 1995, East West Records planned to release an official version of the album, to be titled Fishing for More Luckies, with three extra demo tracks. The only change to the tracks from the original fan club release was a count-in to introduce "Do The Channel Bop."Of the added tracks, a completed version of "Underkill" was later included on the Sick Of Drugs single. Escalator
Released on 24/05/10. Esoteric Recordings are pleased to be release the classic 1968 Psychedelic Rock album, Escalator, by Sam Gopal. One of a handful of albums released on the short lived Stable imprint, Escalator is a gem of an album that is notable for the presence of Ian Willis, otherwise known as Lemmy. However, Escalator is asmemorable for the talents of Malaysian born percussionist Gopal and his band also including Roger D Elia (Guitar) and Phil Duke (bass). With such fine material as The Dark Lord, The Sky is Burning and Midsummer Night's Dream, Escalator is an essential album of British underground rock from the late 1960's.
