Tempest - Tempest

Tempest
Esoteric Recordings are pleased to announce the release of a newly remastered edition of the debut album by TEMPEST, the group formed in 1972 by Colosseum drummer JON HISEMAN. Upon the demise of Hiseman's previous group he formed the muscular outfit Tempest with Colosseum bassist MARK CLARKE, guitarist ALLAN HOLDSWORTH and Vocalist and Keyboard player PAUL WILLIAMS. The band's debut album, originally released by Bronze Records in 1973, was a fine work and featured exemplary musicianship from the quartet. This Esoteric Recordings edition has been newly remastered and restores the albums original elaborate artwork.

We Are.The League / Live In Yugoslavia
At long last, the debut LP by the Anti-Nowhere League - a UK National Chart No. 24 when first released in 1982 - is finally released with its original track-listing complete with the uncensored version of 'Animal'. It's now coupled with the long-deleted "Live In Yugoslavia" LP which reached No. 88 in the UK National Charts back in 1983: Two chart albums for the price of one! The 13 bonus tracks include the UK Top 75 hit singles 'Streets Of London' (No. 48), 'I Hate.People' (No. 46) and 'Woman' (No. 72). Independent chart wise - "We're.The League" reached No. 1 and "Live In Yugoslavia" No. 2, whilst the singles 'Streets Of London', 'I Hate People' and 'Woman' all topped the chart and 'For You' hit No. 3.

Snafu
East of Eden's second album, 'Snafu' was originally released in 1970 by Deram Records and saw the band take their particular fusion of jazz, psychedelia, world music and even blue beat, one step further. As ever, the instrumental prowess of Dave Arbus on violin dominated the music, leading eventually to Arbus playing the infamous violin solo on 'Baba O'Reilly' by The Who. 'Snafu' was the result of many months in the studio, before being shelved in favour of starting work on a fresh project. This Esoteric Recordings reissue has been remastered from the original master tapes and features many unreleased bonus tracks, including five previously unreleased tracks from the aborted album sessions and alternate demo and single versions of their 1971 hit, 'Jig-A-Jig'. An extensive essay features interviews and previously unseen photographs. Our Price: £10.95

Pre-Flight
Recorded at the Decca studios in the summer of 1970, Room's Pre Flight was an ambitious blend of rock, blues, jazz and classical influences. The album was critically well received but unfortunately like many strong releases of this genre at the time on the classic Deram label, did not achieve the hoped for breakthrough to greater commercial success. Room's only recorded work, the album has been re-mastered from the original analogue tapes and is now presented in this definitive edition from Esoteric Recordings. Our Price: £10.95
