End Of The World
End Of The World by Greek Psych / Prog legends Aphrodite's Child. Formed in 1967 by keyboard player VANGELIS, the band also featured Demis Roussos on bass and vocals and Lucas Sideras on Drums. Their classic debut album was released in 1968 and featured the international hit Rain and Tears , partially inspired by Procol Harum's A Whiter Shade of Pale. However, the album revealed a more experimental side to the Band's nature with such Psychedelic gems as The Grass is No Green, You Always Stand in My Way and Day of the Fool. This Esoteric Recordings reissue has been re-mastered from the original tapes and includes both sides of Aphrodite's Child's first single as bonus tracks. Our Price: £10.95

The Magic Shoemaker
Released 27/04/09. Fire was Hounslow's finest psychedelic rock group. Fronted by Dave Lambert (later to join The Strawbs), the band recorded two legendary singles for Decca before signing to PYE Records and recording this legendary Psychedelic Rock rarity in 1969. Featuring guest appearances by guitarist Paul Brett and Dave Cousins of The Strawbs, the album failed to sell in significant quantities at the time of release. Now hailed as a masterpiece of the genre, the album featured in Record Collector's Top Ten sought after rare albums list. This new remastered edition features four bonus tracks, namely both sides of the two Fire singles released by Decca in 1968 along with an extensive booklet featuring new liner notes and an interview with Dave Lambert. Released in March 1971, 'Arena' was the second and final album by the group Marsupilami. Initially a folk-based group the band evolved into one of the most adventurous, if unsung, bands of the early 1970's, producing two stunningly original Mellotron soaked albums. Featuring a line-up of brothers Fred and Leary Hasson (lead vocals and harmonica and keyboards respectively), Dave Laverock (guitar), Richard Lathan Hicks (bass), Jessica Stanley Clarke (flute, vocals) and Mike Fouracre (drums), Marsupilami drew early comparisons to such contemporaries as Quintessence and Gryphon, although in truth the group were far more experimental and powerful. Produced by Peter Bardens (soon to form CAMEL), the CD release of 'Arena' will be welcomed by the legions of progressive rock afficianados. With this 24-bit remastered edition from ESOTERIC RECORDINGS, the conceptual 'Arena' has never sounded better.

Fuzzy Duck
Esoteric Recordings are pleased to announce a newly remastered edition of the 1971 album by the legendary heavy Progressive rock outfit FUZZY DUCK.

Featuring GARTH WATT ROY (guitar, vocals), ROY SHARLAND (organ), MICK HAWKSWORTH (bass) and PAUL FRANCIS (drums), the band signed to Gordon Mills’ MAM label, recording an album and two singles for the imprint. Although their records failed to sell at the time of release, FUZZY DUCK’s recorded output became highly sought after by collectors throughout the world, with their heavy organ driven progressive rock winning over new listeners in the ensuing years.

This Esoteric Recordings reissue has been newly remastered from the original master tapes, includes four bonus tracks taken from the two singles issued by the band and features a booklet that fully restores all original album artwork with a new essay.

"as a result of only 500 original copies being pressed, this record’s reputation precedes it – and it’s mostly worthy of the hype." (Record Collector - July 2012)
