The World Became The World Remastered And Expanded Edition
Released on 29/03/10. Premiata Forneria Marconi, better known in English speaking countries as P.F.M. , were arguably the finest Italian Progressive rock band of the 1970 s and certainly one of the most well known. A successful act in their home land, they came to international attention when they signed to Emerson, Lake and Palmer's label MANTICORE in 1973. They recorded the album The World Became The World in 1974. With English lyrics, some penned by ELP and King Crimson lyricist Pete Sinfield, this edition of PFM s second album for Manticore has been re-mastered from the analogue tapes and includes three bonus tracks, ( two of which are previously unreleased), a lavishly illustrated booklet, new essay and fully restored artwork.

Kossoff, Kirke, Tetsu, Rabbit
Paul Kossoff has a deserved reputation for having been an outstanding guitarist, renowned for his fluid, slow, and melodic leads and bluesy riffs. His untimely death, and the manner of his demise sadly often overshadow his achievements. Kossoff’s time with Free helped define blues rock in the late 1960’s. Following their initial split in 1971 Kossoff kept the spirit flowing with this one off album, recorded with fellow Free founder Simon Kirke, plus bassist Tetsu Yamauchi, and legendary keyboardist John Rabbit Bundrick.

Lie Back And Enjoy It

Formed out of the ashes of the legendary group The Misunderstood, by the time the band recorded this, their second album, the group featured Paul Williams (vocals, piano), Glen Campbell (steel guitar), Chris Mercer (saxophone), Mickey Moody (guitar), Keith Ellis (bass) and Rod Coombes (drums).

One of the first signings to Vertigo Records, Juicy Lucy’s second album was a fine work and spawned their classic interpretation of Frank Zappa’s Willie the Pimp. This Esoteric Recordings reissue has been re-mastered from the original tapes and fully restores the original album artwork and features the bonus track I’m a Thief.

Snafu
East of Eden's second album, 'Snafu' was originally released in 1970 by Deram Records and saw the band take their particular fusion of jazz, psychedelia, world music and even blue beat, one step further. As ever, the instrumental prowess of Dave Arbus on violin dominated the music, leading eventually to Arbus playing the infamous violin solo on 'Baba O'Reilly' by The Who. 'Snafu' was the result of many months in the studio, before being shelved in favour of starting work on a fresh project. This Esoteric Recordings reissue has been remastered from the original master tapes and features many unreleased bonus tracks, including five previously unreleased tracks from the aborted album sessions and alternate demo and single versions of their 1971 hit, 'Jig-A-Jig'. An extensive essay features interviews and previously unseen photographs. Our Price: £10.95

Fat Mattress – Expanded Edition
Released 29/06/09. Recorded in 1969, 'Fat Mattress' was the eponymous debut album by the band formed by Jimi Hendrix Experience bass guitarist Noel Redding. Recorded in late 1968 / early 1969, the album evoked the influences of the time, touching upon styles pioneered by groups such as Traffic (whose member Chris Wood guested on the record). A superb piece of Psychedelic rock in its own right, 'Fat Mattress' failed to get the attention it deserved at the time of release (despite a tour as support act to the Hendrix Experience) but has subsequently been hailed as a classic of the era. This Esoteric reissue has eight bonus tracks comprising non-album singles, mono mixes, studio out-takes and an unreleased solo single by FAT MATTRESS' Jim Leverton. Our Price: £10.95
