Stationary Traveller
Released on 28/09/09 . Unlike many bands whose careers had begun in the 1970 s, CAMEL continued to enjoy much success in the 1980 s, producing fine studio albums such as Stationary Traveller . Although destined to be Camel'sfinal studio album for Decca Records, it was a fine effort. Inspired by the Cold War (then at its height) between the Eastern Bloc countries and NATO, the album featured such classics as Cloak and Dagger Man , West Berlin , Stationary Traveller and Long Goodbyes and saw CAMEL reach new heights of creativity. Space Shanty
Best known as the album that first brought the guitar playing talents of guitarist Steve Hillage to public prominence, Khans sole album is a splendid example of a fusion of Canterbury flavoured rock combined with jazz and space-rock influences. Originally released in 1972 by Deram records, it can now clearly be seen as the blue print for Hillage'slater solo success. Hillage has acknowledged that Space Shanty was the dry run for his classic Fish Rising album. Our Price: £10.95

Initially formed by duo Martin Cockerham and Mark Francis in Bolton in 1968, the band expanded when Cockerham was a student in Canterbury at the end of 1969. The expanded line-up featured Martin Cockerham (guitar, vocals), Barbara Gaskin (lead vocals), Steve Borrill (bass) and Julian Cusack (violin, keyboards) and secured a contract with B&C Records in 1970. The band’s debut album, "ST. RADIGUNDS” was issued in 1971 and featured guest drummer Dave Mattacks and Tony Cox on VCS 3 Synthesiser.

"ST. RADIGUNDS” is rightly hailed as a classic of the era and this Esoteric Recordings newly remastered edition celebrates this legendary album, featuring a booklet with new essay.
