Titus Groan
Esoteric Recordings are pleased to announce the release of a newly re-mastered and expanded edition of the classic 1978 album by Belgian Progressive Rock legends Machiavel. Signing to EMI’s Harvest label in 1976, the band recorded this, their third album, in 1978. Featuring Mario Guccio (vocals), Jean Paul Devaux (Guitar), Albert Letecheur (keyboards), Roland De Greef(Bass) and Marc Y Saye (Drums), this excellent group sang in English and drew on many influences to create their own brand of Progressive music. Extremely popular in Europe, Machiavel blended power, melody and symphonic touches to create a style uniquely their own. Mechanical Moonbeams is arguably their finest hour, hailed by many as a Mellotron soaked masterpiece. Snafu
East of Eden's second album, 'Snafu' was originally released in 1970 by Deram Records and saw the band take their particular fusion of jazz, psychedelia, world music and even blue beat, one step further. As ever, the instrumental prowess of Dave Arbus on violin dominated the music, leading eventually to Arbus playing the infamous violin solo on 'Baba O'Reilly' by The Who. 'Snafu' was the result of many months in the studio, before being shelved in favour of starting work on a fresh project. This Esoteric Recordings reissue has been remastered from the original master tapes and features many unreleased bonus tracks, including five previously unreleased tracks from the aborted album sessions and alternate demo and single versions of their 1971 hit, 'Jig-A-Jig'. An extensive essay features interviews and previously unseen photographs. Our Price: £10.95

Fat Mattress – Expanded Edition
Released 29/06/09. Recorded in 1969, 'Fat Mattress' was the eponymous debut album by the band formed by Jimi Hendrix Experience bass guitarist Noel Redding. Recorded in late 1968 / early 1969, the album evoked the influences of the time, touching upon styles pioneered by groups such as Traffic (whose member Chris Wood guested on the record). A superb piece of Psychedelic rock in its own right, 'Fat Mattress' failed to get the attention it deserved at the time of release (despite a tour as support act to the Hendrix Experience) but has subsequently been hailed as a classic of the era. This Esoteric reissue has eight bonus tracks comprising non-album singles, mono mixes, studio out-takes and an unreleased solo single by FAT MATTRESS' Jim Leverton. Our Price: £10.95
