Man's first classic album for liberty / ua - now 24-bit re-mastered from the original master tapes with previously unreleased bonus track. Man's importance in the history of welsh rock music cannot be understated. Fusing the worlds of Psychedelia, Blues, Rock and Roll and west coast inspired Rock, They were simply one of Britain's most original groups of the 1970's. Recording a series of classic albums for Liberty / United Artists, Man, along with label-mates Hawkwind, were true champions of the "underground" spirit. Esoteric recordings are proud to undertake the reissuing of man's entire legacy for united artists beginning with their debut for the label released in march 1971. The reissue features a previously unreleased 17 minute bonus track and liner notes exclusively penned by man guitarist and raconteur Deke Leonard. The time is right to re- experience the musical ages of man!

Elysian Encounter

Esoteric Recordings are pleased to release a newly remastered edition of the classic 1975 second album by the legendary Baker Gurvitz Army. Formed by former Gun and Three Man Army members Adrian Gurvitz (guitar, vocals), Paul Gurvitz (bass, vocals) and virtuoso drummer Ginger Baker, the Baker Gurvitz Army recorded three of the finest British rock music of the mid-1970s. The recording of Elysian Encounter saw the band expanded with the addition of vocalist Mr. Snips (Steve Parsons) and keyboard player Peter Lemer. Live
Released 27/04/09. Perhaps the finest hour of Barclay James Harvest came with this live album recorded in 1974 on the tour to promote the release of their first album for Polydor, 'Everyone is Everybody Else'. The live set features all of their classic tracks such as ‘Mockingbird', ‘Summer Soldier', ‘Medicine Man', ‘She Said' and ‘For No One'. The record was the band's first UK chart album and is constantly cited in internet polls as the group's finest album. Released to coincide with a series of British concerts by John Lees' Barclay James Harvest, this album makes a much welcomed appearance on CD once more and joins the release of an expanded 'Live Tapes' on Esoteric Recordings this month.

Live Tapes (Expanded Edition)
Released 27/04/09. Recorded over two tours in 1976 and 1977, 'Live Tapes' was released as Barclay James Harvest were on the ascendant. Following on the heels of their Platinum selling album 'Gone to Earth', a huge hit in Germany and a top thirty album in the UK, 'Live Tapes' offered versions of songs from the album such as ‘Poor Man's Moody Blues' and ‘Hymn' alongside live selections from albums such as 'Time Honoured Ghosts' and 'Octoberon'.
