Modern Masquerades
Released 23/02/09. Originally released in February 1975 on Pye's Dawn label, Modern Masquerades was the final release by Northern Irish progressive rock masters Fruupp. A wonderful exercise in Symphonic and Melodic rock, the album is now regarded as one of Fruupp's masterworks and saw the band collaborate with former King Crimson member Ian Mcdonald who produced and guested on the sessions. Modern Masquerades is now re-mastered from the original tapes and receives its first ever full UK release on CD. With all of the albums from Fruupp's catalogue released in February 2009, this release is certain to appeal to all lovers of classic Progressive rock the world over.

Hearts On Fire

Esoteric Recordings are pleased to release a newly remastered edition of the classic 1976 final album by the legendary Baker Gurvitz Army. Formed by former gun and three man army members Adrian Gurvitz (guitar, vocals), Paul Gurvitz (bass, vocals) and virtuoso drummer Ginger Baker, the Baker Gurvitz Army Recorded three of the finest british rock music of the mid-1970s. The recording of elysian encounter saw the band expanded with the addition of vocalist Mr. Snips(Steve Parsons) and keyboard player Peter Lemer. By the time hearts of fire was recorded John Norman Mitchell had replaced Peter Lemer on keyboards and vibes. Another fine work, the album featured such classic material as flying in and out of stardom , Thirsty For The Blues and Night People . This Esoteric Recordings reissue has been newly remastered and features the live bonus track wotever It Is and booklet with new essay and fully restored artwork.

The album, originally released in 1982 by RCA Active, began life during sessions for "Sonic Attack” in 1981 and continued into the first months of the following year. The resulting album was a very different HAWKWIND release which utilised synthesisers and electronic music to great effect. Fused with Hawkwind's unique space rock style, the album gave the band another Top Thirty UK hit album and laid the ground for the "Choose Your Masques” album later in the year.

This Atomhenge reissue includes five previously unreleased recordings from the album sessions and fully restores the limited edition lyric booklet, included with initial pressings of the original album.

Arc… At This
Esoteric Recordings are pleased to announce the debut CD release of 'Arc at This' by ARC. The sole album by this band is a much sought after collectors item originally released on the Decca label in 1970. ARC came out of the ashes of SKIP Bifferty, one of Britain's great unsung psychedelic rock groups. When former Skip Bifferty vocalist Graham Bell joined former NICE drummer Brian Davison's Every Which Way, the remaining members (Tom Duffy, Mick Gallagher, John Turnball and David Montgomery) formed this progressive rock outfit. Reuniting with Graham Bell the following year the group became Bell + Arc, recording an acclaimed album for Charisma Records. Journey
Released on 29/03/10. Journey, the third and final album by Arthur Brown's Psych / Space Rock outfit Kingdom Come. Issued on Polydor in 1973, the album was coproduced by Dave Edmunds and is arguably their most well known work. Touching on the musical territory of fellow travellers Hawkwind, Journey was a masterwork and is now rightly regarded as a classic. This newly remastered edition includes a bonus CD featuring 8 bonus tracks of rare single material, alternate mixes and three recordings from a BBC Radio One John Peel session from 1972.
