Snafu - East Of Eden

Snafu
East of Eden's second album, 'Snafu' was originally released in 1970 by Deram Records and saw the band take their particular fusion of jazz, psychedelia, world music and even blue beat, one step further. As ever, the instrumental prowess of Dave Arbus on violin dominated the music, leading eventually to Arbus playing the infamous violin solo on 'Baba O'Reilly' by The Who. 'Snafu' was the result of many months in the studio, before being shelved in favour of starting work on a fresh project. This Esoteric Recordings reissue has been remastered from the original master tapes and features many unreleased bonus tracks, including five previously unreleased tracks from the aborted album sessions and alternate demo and single versions of their 1971 hit, 'Jig-A-Jig'. An extensive essay features interviews and previously unseen photographs.

It’s Five O’Clock
Esoteric Recordings are pleased to announce that the reissues of the Aphrodite’s Child albums "End of the World" and "It’s Five O’Clock" will now be remastered under the supervision of Vangelis himself. The Maestro will also supervise the entire artwork package of both albums. We at Esoteric are honoured to have Vangelis’ involvement, making our reissues of these classic titles the first CD editions to be endorsed by the Maestro. As release dates were set before Vangelis’ involvement in these projects, we have postponed further shipping of these titles for approximately four to five weeks until Vangelis’ remastered versions are completed and ready for shipment and distribution, when they will become the official versions of these classic albums. Further news will be posted as soon as we have it. It's Five O'clock by Greek Psych / Prog legends Aphrodite's Child. Formed in 1967 by keyboard player Vangelis, the band also featured Demisroussos on bass and vocals and Lucas Sideras on Drums. Their classic second album was released in 1969 and featured the international hit from which the album took its name. The LP revealed a more experimental side to the band s nature with such Psychedelic gems as Funky Mary and Let Me Love, Let Me Live. This Esoteric Recordings reissue has been re-mastered from the original tapes and includes six bonus tracks which were released as three singles in 1969 and 1970, including a rare Italian only release. Arc… At This
Esoteric Recordings are pleased to announce the debut CD release of 'Arc at This' by ARC. The sole album by this band is a much sought after collectors item originally released on the Decca label in 1970. ARC came out of the ashes of SKIP Bifferty, one of Britain's great unsung psychedelic rock groups. When former Skip Bifferty vocalist Graham Bell joined former NICE drummer Brian Davison's Every Which Way, the remaining members (Tom Duffy, Mick Gallagher, John Turnball and David Montgomery) formed this progressive rock outfit. Reuniting with Graham Bell the following year the group became Bell + Arc, recording an acclaimed album for Charisma Records. This release will be warmly greeted by collectors of early 1970's progressive music. Our Price: £10.95
