Cherry Red are pleased to present Bridget St John, who was one of the first acts signed to John Peel's legendary Dandelion Records, and her first three albums with several bonus tracks that are appearing on CD for the first time. The first two albums feature John Martyn playing guitar on some tracks, but all of these albums have become very collectable with 'Ask Me No Questions' changing hands for over £100 recently These CDs contain detailed sleeve notes written by Nigel Cross in cooperation with Bridget; she was also involved with selecting the bonus tracks. Mantle Pieces
Released on 22/03/10. The eighth in our series of Clifford T. Ward releases. Mantle Pieces was originally released on Charisma Records in 1973 and was Clifford's 3rd solo album. The album has not been available on CD for almost 20 years. The album contains one of his best loved singles Scullery. The CD includes two bonus tracks: the single Jayne (from Andromeda Spiral), + its b/side Maybe I'm Right. Clifford's reputation as a singer/songwriter lives on. His very active fan club "The Friends Of Clifford T. Ward" whose patron is Sir Tim Rice, support all attempts to promote the aims and works of Clifford T. Ward. Through their excellent website, they very much keep alive his extensive catalogue of work, spanning his career of 40 plus years. As a testament to his timeless genius, in June 2002, Clifford finished above The Beatles in a BBC Radio 2 poll on the best music released during the Queen's reign. Unfortunately Clifford wasn't around to witness this as he sadly died in December 2001 at the age of 57 Our Price: £9.95

Morning stands on tiptoe
Released on 17/08/09. Though Toni Arthur is probably most widely remembered these days as the vivacious presenter of 1970s children's TV shows Playschool and Playaway, she and her husband Dave first came to prominence during the 1960s British folksong revival.

Released by the Transatlantic label in 1967, Dave and Toni Arthur's debut LP Morning Stands On Tiptoe remains a cornerstone album of the genre, a work of astonishing power and vitality that introduced a whole raft of traditional songs to the thriving British folk club scene. Taken from the original master tapes, this definitive reissue of a seminal album comes complete with a 16-page booklet that includes new liner notes, fresh quotes and a reproduction of Dave and Toni's original notes on each song together with some stunning, previously unpublished photos of the duo.
