This album was Bown's second and final offering for Island Records and featured new vocalist Gordon Neville who had replaced Robert Palmer (recently departed to DADA)."Stretching Out” was a fine set which demonstrated the musical excellence of Bown's group, including future SUPERTRAMP saxophonist JOHN HELLIWELL. This new edition has been re-mastered from the original master tapes and fully restores the original album artwork. It includes the rare bonus track ‘Thru the Night', Robert Palmer's final recording for the band, which featured on the 1971 Island Records sampler "El Pea”.

Formed out of the ashes of the legendary group The Misunderstood, the band featured Ray Owen (vocals), Glen Campbell (steel guitar), Chis Mercer (saxophone), Neil Hubbard (guitar), Keith Ellis (bass) and Pete Dobson (drums).

One of the first signings to Vertigo Records, Juicy Lucy’s debut was a fine work and spawned their classic interpretation of Bo Diddley’s Who Do You Love? A top ten UK hit.

Formed out of the ashes of the legendary group The Misunderstood, by the time the band recorded this, their second album, the group featured Paul Williams (vocals, piano), Glen Campbell (steel guitar), Chris Mercer (saxophone), Mickey Moody (guitar), Keith Ellis (bass) and Rod Coombes (drums).

One of the first signings to Vertigo Records, Juicy Lucy’s second album was a fine work and spawned their classic interpretation of Frank Zappa’s Willie the Pimp. This Esoteric Recordings reissue has been re-mastered from the original tapes and fully restores the original album artwork and features the bonus track I’m a Thief.

Esoteric Recordings are pleased to announce the release of the debut re-mastered edition of the classic 1969 album The Alan Bown! by celebrated Jazz and Rock trumpeter and arranger Alan Bown and his band. This album was recorded during his group s transition from one of Britain's finest Soul outfits to a leading Jazz Rock band with Progressive influences. The band would later be noted for two of the finest vocalists of their generation, namely Jess Roden and Robert Palmer, passing through their ranks, along with Saxophonist John Helliwell who would later be a key member of Supertramp. Circus
Released 29/06/09. Released in 1969, the eponymous album by Circus was one of the first Progressive Rock releases on the Transatlantic label, until that time primarily known as a leading Folk and Folk Rock imprint. Circus featured saxophonist and flautist Mel Collins (later to join King Crimson And Camel), along with Ian Jeff (guitar, vocals), Kirk Riddle (bass) and Chris Burrows (drums). An excellent jazz influenced Progressive work, the album featured a notable cover of Lennon & McCartney's 'Norwegian Wood' and is now a highly desirable collector's item among Progressive rock aficionados.
